The lapels aren't quite as big, but it's not bad.
I also posted a double-breasted black 40s tux on another thread which I thought someone could use...
Yeah, this is a nice one. I was going to bid on it, but I would have to take the waist in by 4 inches or so. Plus...my suit budget is running low. One or two more, and I'll be finished.
For a while.
Paddy,
I think the wider brim/taller crown would look great on you as well...when you posted that photo of the Seabiscuit trainer's hat and said that's what you wanted...well, I had one like it, so I thought I'd pass it on to you! I think this hat looks good on you...but of course, I'm a big...
You can't go wrong. I was about to buy it, until I saw that you had. yeah, I know it's too big for me...but it would have been a great gift for my grandfather. I'm next in line after Root...
Thanks!
She is awesome. There are a lot more photos of us on my other thread, the one about the QM and the Ambassador Hotel. I would link to it, but I'm too lazy.
Whoa!
Rob, that certainly helped. nice work, man!
I'll probably wear that vest after all. Believe it or not, I have a grand total of five new suits to show off (and a sixth is only a week away), so I'll be posting a bunch of new photos in the next weeks or so. I nabbed a couple of...
No problem. It's what I'm here for.
Well, at least partially.
here's another, this one's roughly in my size...but I have a double-breasted, and I just don't have enough reason to wear a tux to need more than one (unless I find an ivory, Bogie style tux)...
Well, look no further:

I can't recall who was saying they were looking for one of these. Great price. too big for me (and I have one anyway!).
Someone - enjoy!
In 'Rope,' which takes place entirely in one apartment, they made his famous profile out of neon and made it part of the city's backdrop seen through the rear window of the apartment.
Does anyone here recall what his cameo was in 'The Trouble With Harry'?
I know what you mean. But locally, there are a lot more folks who have less-than-kind things to say about Arpaio. I've been hearing these kinds of things for years, regardless of whether or not it's an election year. This year, Joe is really fighting (even running ads on TV - something not...
I almost bid on that...but I have a lot of brown hats.
Plus, I just won two Borsalinos in the last week (one of which was brown, yes). I've really slowed down on the hats because I have so many, and I tend to wear the same six all the time, and only wear the others every couple of weeks.
I'd like to know some of these 'rules' as well. I wear fur felt hats all year 'round, as well as my spectators. I just wore a heavy gabardine suit yesterday, for crying out loud!
William Powell was born in my hometown - Pittsburgh, PA.
Brad, I would get one that's correctly proportioned for your face. I think you could probably get a 2 1/8" or 2 1/4" brim and approximate the same look. Just make sure your crown is tall enough.
I'll keep my eyes, open, too. There...
I think I've always been different in my fashion sense. (My friends used to get mad at me when their girlfriends said to them, "why can't you dress more like Bob? He's got style.")
I went to an all-boys prep academy-type thing, where one had to wear a suit all the time. I loved it...
Sheriff Joe is not my favorite. Here's a link to another, non 'Arpaio Political Machine'-generated:

hmmmmm.
I can tell my post was too long...Ren didn't read it (I mentioned Art)!
Sorry 'bout that.
I got a great pair of shoes at the Tucson store...but, like all vinatge stores these days...they're leaning pretty heavily on 70s era stuff and hawaiian shirts, things like that. They had a few...
