I have some vintage hair stuff (I guess it's some kind of oil) that I've used for the last couple of years. I got it on eBay because I thought the bottles ere cool-looking art deco things and they had a cool name: Fedora Hair Oil. I got two bottles, both were full, and smelled pretty good...
hey, I wear size 7 - and sometimes 6 7/8 - and I'm no cat.
Nope, I usually don't have anything that big since it would look like a flying saucer atop my particularly thin face. I have made a deal with a friend to trade a few things for some hats, some of the sizes of which were unknown. So...
Got some more up on eBay...I probably only have a small handful left I can get rid of after this...I'm trying to hang onto those as long as I can...
you can find my stuff through:

Thanks to everyone who bid on the hats. The whole thing went so well that I think I'm going to put five or six more online by the end of the week. I realized that a lot of the hats just aren't getting a lot of wear, and I'd rather they go on and have adventures with someone new if I'm just...
recording goes well...I'm now seen as even more of a "character" in the local scene, as I wear vintage suits every day...of which I now have around 20! We're buying our first house, and once that clamor dies down a little, I'll have to post some photos of my greatest acquisitions. I really...
I know I've been sort of a stranger 'round these parts lately, but it doesn't mean I'm not terribly fond of all of you. Just super busy...
anyway, I wanted to give everyone here the first heads-up: I'm thinning the herd. I'm selling off some of my hat collection. I don't want to do it...
I agree. Also...police stations? I have seen more fedora-clad detectives in the interrogation room of a police station in a film noir film than you'd see elves at the North Pole. Maybe they don't follow trheir own rules?
I take the hat off in my house, when I get to the hat rack...I take...

(I know some of you have been looking, so I've been keeping my eyes open as best I can.)
French,
I've been sort of busy lately - haven't been in the Lounge much of late - but I saw this thread (first log on in a week or so) and I have to just tell you that my thoughts are with you, bud.
You sound exactly like me when I was younger. I'm 31, and I met my wife when I was about...
Thought some of you might be interested. The seller emailed me with the under-the-sweatband-tag info, and the hats are both 7 1/2. Way too big for me...but if they were my size, I'd jump on 'em.

Matt is right about starting out with blue or grey...but if you're buying vinatge, and you're doing it on eBay, you should probably take what you can find that's in your size and price range. I have ten suits, three sportcoats, and two tuxes...and I still don't have a grey one! I have three...
Root, you wear it very very well.
Man those photos are great.
I will try to post one of my grandfather with his first car. It's sort of like that last one of yours.
I get lucky a lot...mainly by watching eBay relentlessly.
I check all of my categories four to five times a day, if I can. Three minimum.
I got a 1942-dated, double-breasted tuxedo in mint condition for...
...$9.99 plus shipping (and this was the third time it was relisted)!
Cab...
I think I'm fortunate. I have about 10-12 pair of vintage high-waisted pants, three or four NOS (I had to put the cuffs in myself!).
They are awesome. I almost never wear any of my other vintage pants that are regular-waisted. I think, by the way, this is why a lot of old men wear their...
I have an identical one to this, but maybe someone (as small as me) can use this:

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, folks. It's been a killer week at work.
