cleaning a vintage leather coat...?
Maybe I should be directing this to COW...but I just picked up a vintage 1940s German leather jacket yesterday. OK, daylight photos (what a difference it makes!): I tried to get a closeup of the felt for Matt Deckard, but I'm not sure I was successful: but I think you can see the general texture of the felt in the other pictures anyway. -
Another Open Road question
I have a vintage Open Road, and a vintage Stratoliner (but I think the Open road is much older). I didn't do anything to the shape of either hat; this is the way they came. The Open Road is a Royal Stetson Deluxe, as the Stratoliner is just a Royal Stetson. The Open Road's crown is over... -

What made this never-heard-of-before-brand hat worth $66?
Maybe it's just the big size. I hadn't been on eBay for a while until last week, and I noticed that just in general, the pickins are kinda slim, hat-wise.
