I know I've been sort of a stranger 'round these parts lately, but it doesn't mean I'm not terribly fond of all of you. Just super busy...

anyway, I wanted to give everyone here the first heads-up: I'm thinning the herd. I'm selling off some of my hat collection. I don't want to do it, but I've got a new baby, a new house - lots to pay for. (There's also a few things on eBay I'd like but I'm only allowed to spend what i can make in auctions!) Anyway, a couple of these were hats that were quite prized by me - but how many Borsalinos can a man own? (I know, around here, that's sort of a stupid question.)

this link should show you all of the hats I'm selling:

I also have a black and white houndstooth 1940s double-breasted suit I'm looking to unload. I have so many others now (around 20) that I'm trying to unload those I don't wear. It's a little small, though - I wear about a 38, and it's a little small on me, though I think there's some room to let it out. Email me if you're interested and I'll snap some pics.

Hey friend, I know how it goes! I have been trying to unload some of my junk radios. Humm, no one seems to want to buy them.LoL.

Any way, if I were your hat size I would be hard pressed to pass up this golden opportunity! knowing well your fine taste in vintage hats.

I might know some one who might fit that suit of yours. I'll have to call him and tell him about it. Say, any idea what you want for the suit?

PM me some time so we can catch up on old times!

WR.

Luckily for me they're my size. Hopefully I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll be able to nab a few since I don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t own any vintage fedoras.

Hey Bob! :) :clap There you are I wondered what was up, I hadn't heard from you for awhile and was actually thinkin about what had happened to you. Congratulations on the little one...they're absolutely fantastic. I hope the Mrs. is doing OK aswell. You'll have to post a pic of your new addition, again bravo my friend!

As for lids, they look fantastic, especially the light gray Borsalino. I'm going to try and see if I can make it a new home! They all look great.

Hey...feel free to pm anytime.
P.S. How's the recording going these days?

Warmest Regards

recording goes well...I'm now seen as even more of a "character" in the local scene, as I wear vintage suits every day...of which I now have around 20! We're buying our first house, and once that clamor dies down a little, I'll have to post some photos of my greatest acquisitions. I really got a lot of nice suits, and I find that I'm only wearing about 30% of my hat collection...so I figure I ought to clear my closets a little. I'm sure I'll have more to sell in the coming weeks, as I clean out the closets prior to moving into my new (smaller) house.

Root, as far as the suit goes, I think I paid around $60 for it, so somewhere in that neighborhood, I would think. It's a nice suit - but it doesn't really get worn, and the trousers are a little tight for my waist - meaning it's probably about a 29" waist. I can wear it, but I have to eat light!

Havershaw, that suit sounds as if it's just my size. I've a 29" waist and about a 36" chest, maybe a touch larger. Any chance I could take a crack at it? Send me a PM.

Thanks to everyone who bid on the hats. The whole thing went so well that I think I'm going to put five or six more online by the end of the week. I realized that a lot of the hats just aren't getting a lot of wear, and I'd rather they go on and have adventures with someone new if I'm just going to keep them sitting in the closet.

I'm really glad that a lot of them got purchased by folks from the Lounge - I couldn't have asked for better homes. Thanks again!

hey, I wear size 7 - and sometimes 6 7/8 - and I'm no cat.

Nope, I usually don't have anything that big since it would look like a flying saucer atop my particularly thin face. I have made a deal with a friend to trade a few things for some hats, some of the sizes of which were unknown. So I might have some bigger hats coming to me in the next couple of weeks which I plan on cleaning up and reselling.

There are some new hats now, and I do have one more which I left at my studio so I couldn't photograph it or list it, but it should be up on eBay by tomorrow afternoon. That one's a Mallory fifteen or twenty (I can't recall which), brown with light ribbon, with a Cavanagh edge on the brim. It looks like one of the oldest I've got. I think that's size 7 1/8, if I don't miss my guess.

I think there's two 7s, another 7 1/8, and the rest are pretty small.

If they fit a 6 7/8 I'll bid on two of them. Het KR where in WC do you live? I'm right behind the DMV on Herring.

Cheers,
Jeff
