Anyone have an Aero Thunder Bay...

Sloan, I think that since the new designs came on stream last April, a lot of the older stuff tends to get overlooked. I'm alternating my two Stockmans each day at the moment and like them a lot, but no one seems to buy them now. It'll be interesting to see how my imminent Work Coat affects...

    Lawless Denim

Nice detailed review Griff. They look good on you and I too am looking forward to my 18oz ones. It's impossible to get past that low price. Assuming the quality remains high, things should get even better once more materials come on stream.

Anyone like the Alexander Leathers Gatsby?

That last one was a big hit on the IH forum, with its sheepskin lined pockets. I'm wearing a Stockman as I type, and love it, but these don't grab me at all.

Interesting but v expensive A1 style two tone jacket

The chest measurements are incredibly tight given the label size. It's like they're cut at least one size too small.

    Aero Premier 1930s Highwayman

zhz, I more often order online after asking dimensions, as Aero don't open weekends and I don't often get the opportunity to visit, and I still get it wrong occasionally. I've been down many times, most recently two weeks ago, where I confirmed the correct sizes for my new Irvin and Work...

    Lawless Denim

To be clear, I mean the Gustin Friends forum Griff links to above, not the Gustin forum. There's been quite a controversy over the actual Gustin forum as they started banning people (including me) from accessing it, but without admitting it. I haven't been able to get into it for two months or...

    Lawless Denim

That's well noted, Superfluous, and absolutely valid to point out, but to be fair to Lawless it has been extensively addressed on the Gustin Friends board, dealt with apparently honestly by Lawless, and people are giving them the benefit of the doubt. I'm happy enough to take a punt on them...

    Lawless Denim

There's a huge buzz about Lawless on the Gustin Friends board. I got sucked in and ordered 18.5oz jeans, a wool shirt and a denim waistcoat for $195, including $75 postage. Crazy money. That offer's stopped now, but the prices are still so low that they make Gustin look greedy. Having said...

    Aero Premier 1930s Highwayman

I hear you, Nick. I quickly started having doubts about my Irvin being a bit too neat, and tried to convince myself it fitted ok. After a few weeks and only one short wear I gave up on it, took a hit and am now at the back of the queue for a new bigger one. As people say, any doubts at all...

    Aero Premier 1930s Highwayman

I can't help but feel that coming down 2 sizes in a HWM turns it into a different jacket. Maybe if someone wants something that tight, another style would look better. And maybe the new premier version is the answer.

    shrinking aero anyone?

Very interesting Cooperson. That makes me want to spec a bit longer on my upcoming premium HB.

    EU made durable leather shoes

Here's my two Lennon's. Both are Derby, modded with my choice of leather, leather linings and commando soles. Standard is leather soles, but there's no charge to change. I got commando for the rain, but they've since said they'd do Dainite as a special order, which I'd prefer in future. They...

    EU made durable leather shoes

Definitely William Lennon. They'll do mods too at low or no cost. I have two pairs and think they're better than my Iron Rangers, although heavier. Much more solid and chunky. If you have more money to spend, I consider Trickers to be the best of all, with many variants of their Stow boots...

    Unknown Aero Identification

I think it's closer to a VDR than anything else. On the Stockman and the Cheyenne, the front and back shoulder seams (yoke???) are folded over, but on the VDR they're flush like here.

Aero/LVC Rockabilly now called Rockafella in size 36, received today.

zhz, I suppose if you take the £30 off for the lining material, assuming you choose from their stock, then you have the sleeve shortening and removing the original lining, it's not too outrageous. I had a sleeve shortening and leather tapering done for a similar price, so it's in the same...

    My new Buzz Rickson L2-A

Great fit on you. Dare one ask the price?

Aero/LVC Rockabilly now called Rockafella in size 36, received today.

Interesting project. Maybe 1.5" or so off the sleeves, and I would definitely change the lining if the price is right, as it looks kinda drab and too samey to me.

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

Brian's boots look really interesting and I like the whole one man band vibe. If the prices and wait time aren't too outrageous I'll be very tempted. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

    Aero back then...

For goodness' sake. I'm sure the Nuremberg trials didn't take this long to prepare. And what about the civil one?

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

But with Wesco won't they include a refurb of some description in that price? If that's the case, the price isn't too bad. I know in the UK that Trickers a year or so ago were costing about £90 or $145 for a resole, again with some sort of refurb thrown in. I have a couple of Wesco's and am...
