I'm sure Aero were selling these on their site as recently as maybe a couple of years ago. I suppose once the 500th was made they stopped selling it. My guess is 2 years old max.
Nice. I have the blackxblacks and like them, rock solid black. I wear them to work, along with the Natural, which was another good buy.
I'd have bought the latest Oxbloods, but they're having a laugh with the price, up nearly $50 over the original ones.
andy, when I saw this was Ventile, I got it specifically for rain and wind, as I used double layer Ventile in the 80s as wet weather gear for hillwalking and know its properties, good and often bad. Single layer, like this, is ideal for wind and light rain about town, as water beads off until...
Here's the Ventile chore coat. It's thin and relatively water resistant, so a nice material. I like this coat enough to want to buy it in another material and thickness as well, maybe the army green if it comes back. As for sizing, it's the usual Gustin tale of woe, but luckily I sized...
It looks great on you, but I don't think you need any more length. Your sleeves are long and will shorten, and the front's normally higher than the back, but this still looks a good length. It's meant to be a short cut anyway.
Having had the pleasure of fondling this very jacket on Friday during my site visit I can vouch for its lusciousness. The colour is fabulous. I look forward to the fit pics.
Ha. The whips and chains were delivered by a very friendly and open-minded moustachio'd gentleman with a liking for leather equal to my own. His thigh length Boss boots were quite something to behold.
Here's a slightly different version of the Wesco Boss. These are 16", rather than the usual 11". I picked them up in the US this week for £303 ($516) delivered to my hotel, which I thought was a good price compared to a UK import. I think the 11" would have been about £40 less. They're shown...
Another triumph, Fanch. Now you've got the sizing sorted out, these jackets all look great on you. I'm very tempted by the Maxwell now, as I prefer button jackets. I thought I had enough jackets, but maybe not.
I've just seen the pics of the newly sent out wax charcoal chore coat and regret not getting that now, as I think it looks great. I really like my wax olive trucker, but wasn't sure about the chore coat.
I did eventually go for the black ventile version though, as I like that material, and...
£8? You're lucky. I always seem to get hit for about £20. I'm glad you like the Zimbys. I just got my red selvedge shirt (£20 charge) and am underwhelmed, especially at a total cost of about £90. I won't be buying any more shirts.
The Oxbloods are the only thing I regret missing, as I really like that colour.
If you look at the cost, you can get about 8 items, jeans, shirts or jackets, for the price of one leather jacket. I'm leather jacketed out now, so have gone OTT on Gustin and also Red Wings and Trickers.
