Hi Stevieboy. I think it was you that got me into Sou West Chunkies a while back. They were a great buy, incredibly cheap, but I was looking for something with a longer neck for my Irvin this time.
As to my picture, I took that in Salzburg about to board the train to Munich, so it seemed...
That all seems pretty much identical to when I first came across Aero in early 2012, so things didn't move as fast as they do now with the old guard back in charge.
And of course the whole soap opera had yet to start... I'm sure Sloan will keep us informed of the outcome next week, to give us...
Thanks to this thread I've ordered a woolly pully from OKW, and got a discount too.
I don't know why they're so cheap compared to their other jumpers though.
To be fair to Himel, that's not that much more than you'd pay for a good tweed jacket in Scotland, and the Aero Wool HB which I have was £475 or about $760. By Himel's standards it's maybe even underpriced.
Thanks again guys. Luckily it was cold enough today to wear it in anger for the first time. As my wife pointed out, the jeans and boots are scarily good matches for the hide and the fleece, so here's proof. Gustin Downtown Browns and IR Amber Harness. I think the jeans are probably my...
Very nice indeed. Be interesting to see a back shot.
I always think cordovan is a great colour choice, as it goes with anything and constantly changes depending on the light.
I have a Wool HB (which I believe is the same cut as the Pioneer) and DB. The DB is slimmer, with narrower shoulders and has a dip at the front which actually just makes it look even all round, rather than having the front look higher.
I prefer the DB.
How old is it? The general consensus used to be that there was a rogue batch or batches a few years ago, but not since.
I've owned maybe 4 or 5 cordovan jackets since 2012 without bleeding.
I was in New York last week and passed a cinema on Broadway with what it claimed was the orginal clothes as worn by Brad et al in a window display. I took quite a few pics, but the reflection on the glass pretty much ruined the detail.
The clothes looked good though, especially Brad's...
Well spotted, Sloane. You should be a detective or a journalist or sumfink.:eusa_clap:) I wouldn't have said the location was at all obvious.
The blackxcoals look tempting, and a nice heavy weight. Hope you get them up here sometime.
Bunyip, I feel your pain for what you've gone through after all that time.
The 16" comes to just below my knee and they feel great. I like them a lot. The 11" never excited me, but the 16" just seemed irresistible. I got them from stock from www.boot.com for I think $515 delivered in the US...
Thanks guys. It was definitely a good result, particularly on the length and the lining. The crease was something they'd only seen once or twice before and it seemed to be just my bad luck.
I actually treat my jackets really roughly, as the bigger the battering the better they look, but...
