How does one find it? Can't see anything live on his instagram...
(interesting that he is gluing the pockets, i thought the Aero motto was "glue is the worst, we are better since we don't use it")
Well call me a poser, because i would not leave the house with brown shoes and a black jacket.
I don't care about the belt, i usually wear a natural leather belt, but to me black and brown worn together looks like crap.
I think you can get away with mixing tan and black, or cordovan and black...
I have seen 3 or 4 for sale on eBay recently, i got mine on there for around $300, and when i bought it there was a L size for sale too. Just search for "lee 101 storm rider leather jacket", there is one in the UK right now, unfortunately it is a size small...
There has to be something wrong in the measurements he gave, i am bigger than him and my chest is 41"
(i'm also a 42 in LW, and a 44 in 641 which is equivalent to 42 in 641)
That sucks, she was always great help.
Even after she retired she still answered her emails, she sent me multiple sizing charts and answered many of my questions.
Thanks Gail.
No, i mean 613H, you are mixing different models together.
613H and 613SH are different and were produced at different times.
Like i said, the 613SH is only 3 years old, before that it was called 613H, the 613H had underarm footballs and a 24" back, the 613SH doesn't have footballs and is 25"...
Actually got that wrong, S and SH were released late 2015 early 2016:
Before that you had the regular 613 and 618, which were stared and starless, as well as the 613H.
All these had underarm footballs, which where removed for the S (slim) versions.
The 118 was the longer baggier version...
If it doesn't have shield shaped stitch holes on one or both shoulders then it wasn't a police issued jacket.
Style wise, it's just one of the many variations of police jackets, Vanson and Schott made some, Taylors as well, as did many other brands. They have slight variations depending on who...
Not for me...
I need -5c to get the B-3 out, anything more and i turn into a sweaty mess.
This year it barely froze a couple days in London, same in Belgium, I was fine with a jumper and a regular leather jacket.
I think in the 15 years i have had this jacket i maybe wore it 10 times.
The one i posted pics above was tailored...
I bought it in the early 2000 when i was still wearing things 90s style and bought it massively oversized (its a size 48 me a 42).
Once i came to my senses a few years later i realized it made me look like the Michelin man and stopped wearing it.
It...
I don't think so.
I have one of these from the ealy 2000, it looks like yours, the wool is thick and curly, it was like that before i wore it. Recent ones are thinner and less curly, things change...
Gail in 2016: "The 613 & 618 have the same slim fit, which is a slimmer fit than the 118. The differences between the 618 & 613 is that the 613 has stars on the epaulets, no collar snaps and no logo snaps."
That was true up untill 2019, I dont know how the new S and SH changed things. I assume...
Those are the modern back lengths.
Original ones were 23.75", repros in the 90s and 2000s were 24" long.
(You can google it, there are many mentions on the Schott forum from Gail saying the back length is 24", there even is a sizing chart somewhere.)
At some point in the 2000s they switched to...
Have a look at Richa too, following @barnabus 's advice i picked up this Richa Daytona last year for £49 new.
It came will full D3o armour set, is decently made and feels very good on the bike.
(very high tight armpits, so very little drag/sail effect)
