My 613H is from 2006, it is pretty heavily used i think (that kind of back grain doesn't happen fast on Schott HH!) but is still very very shiny:
It's a nice jacket, but the 23.75" back makes it pretty hard to wear.
The buckle is a Century Canada and it feels fine. I find the Lenzip sleeve...
Maybe i am just jaded by too many jackets and too long on TFL...
I can see how a few years ago i would have been all "This will be my final/ultimate leather jacket, i will never sell it, i will keep it forever and grow old in it, it is definitely worth the money!"
Now i know that it's only a...
None of Aero leathers are better than the others, they are different and have different characteristics.
Each of us knows what we like, and what characteristics we like in different leathers, that might not match what you like and what you look for in leather.
Personally i am convinced most of...
You guys say that, but have you ever been caught in that specific situation? It sucks.
A tweaked Aero still will get you a big chunk of your money back when sold used, i have also seen custom Langlitz or Himel go for only a few hundred dollars bellow new price.
My first real leather jacket on...
I have handled that jacket, it is great.
5oz Moose skin feels like thick deer basically, like a big thick sloppy blanket.
If Moose hide was still available i would have ordered one without even asking for the price, it feels that great.
(and i say that as someone who was not super impressed by...
High new prices and very low used resale value is indeed a risk i am not ready to take again.
Look at the Diamond Dave debacle, his Shinki jackets used to sell for $1400 new, now you would be lucky to get $350 for a used one. My DD J-100 is unsellable because of that, it makes no sens for me to...

To me it's a 100% functional thing, not a look thing.
If the jeans are 35"-36" no cuff, if they are longer than 36" cuff.
If the weather is cold, no cuff, so the bottom of the leg creates a tigth seal on my boot and no cold air comes in.
If the temp is above 80F (26C) i usually do a slightly...
I recommend you get a soft tape measure, it is impossible to measure sleeves accurately with a rigid tape.
All the sleeve measurements you posted are much shorter than they should be if measured correctly and that will IMO make selling the jackets harder.
It's also a confidence thing IMO, if i...
Are you going up a chest size too? Cause you look a bit like a leather saussage in these pics...
It looks to me like you should consider doing the old tapering down a the bottom hem trick (like a 42 chest tapering down to a 40 waist), you look like you have quite a large chest to waist drop.
I am also 6'2", i like my MC jackets to be aorund 25-25.5" long, my Aero Bootleggers (based on the 50s halfbelt) are 26" in the back and i would not change that length. Longer than that and it start interfering with the back pockets which i dislike.
To me if it covers the back pockets it isn't a...
How is that try hard?
I get jeans in size 33 and whatever length they come in as long as it is above 34". If they are 35 to 36" i don't need to cuff, if they are longer i cuff. I am actually trying less hard than anyone trying to figure ou the "correct" length.
I don't actually try at all...I i...
Can I say one thing to you? And I say this with an unblemished record of staunch heterosexuality.
You have the most fabulouse smile on TFL.
There, i said it!
