Aero no, Lewis yes if you get one of their armoured Urban Rider jackets.
Ask Urban Rider if they can order you one; otherwise, ask Lewis if they can make you one, considering they presumably still have the patterns.
Did you end up ordering a jacket mod from her, Bfd?
It strikes me that this used to be a common thing. Like Barbour had what they called Department B to mod and add things to your jackets if you wanted. Back when I was a teenager I was going to have them add a belt to my Border. I wonder if...
Visiting JL gave me the immediate impression that that’s the place to do it. Once they have a pattern nailed down to you, you can just get everything you need on that same pattern.
I had this issue with a jacket and it seemed to settle after the rainstorm that initially caused the problem. It was mostly an issue for me because the hem lining leather bled.
What exactly is the belt bleeding onto?
I don’t think either the leather or trucker has a bad length; they’re different garments after all. The cafe racer lands exactly where it should. That said the waxed cotton has me confused. I can’t personally think of a use case for a waxed cotton jacket that short. My shortest at least hit...
Do any of you happen to have the measurements of the chest pocket, @ton312 @jonesy86 @jonbuilder ?
I wanted to get a chest pocket on the CHP I'm having made at Johnson but I couldn't think of the one I'd seen that I really liked (this is it!)
There’s a reason SB cross-zips are significantly cheaper. While early on this didn’t seem to be the case, these days they don’t seem to have a quality control check and they don’t provide after sales support if they screwed up on this. I’m talking people ordering size 38 cross zips and getting a...
This isn't a CHP. It's a Detroit police jacket (PJ-27). Made by Buco for themselves and Sears. It's possible other makers had contracts to make it at the time too (it's still made by police contractors today).
Schott aviator, probably 1980s or 1990s, in like new condition. Size 44. Looks nicely...
I love the leather and the way they seem to have cut the hem and back from the same piece of leather so there's continuity, but is it just me or is the jacket itself egg-shaped?
I’ve never found them to feel like a “wallet in the armpit”.
I don’t really mind this, but if concerned someone could get the jacket with hem leather like most American makers do.
I don’t think we can call her an apprentice by any stretch. She was a peer of Sam and Greg.
I think these are only an introductory offer because she’s learning the new patterns/designs. She knows what she’s doing.
I saw a really cool pair of products online recently, which I think I'll try sometime.
It's a detergent for washing leather goods, and their other product is a conditioner that's introduced after washing when liquid softener would be.
