So here are a few pictures.
-The waxed canvas jacket and the black Schott leather jacket are 25" and ending at the bottom of the belt line, just hiding the belt.
-the Wrangler denim trucker is 26" and ends just under hiding the belt.
-Full body waxed canvas pic is how it looks like when I moev around

Would you say that one fit is better than the other one me?
I see a lot of 25.5" vintage style used jackets but not sure i should simply avoid it and just go 26...

I don’t think either the leather or trucker has a bad length; they’re different garments after all. The cafe racer lands exactly where it should. That said the waxed cotton has me confused. I can’t personally think of a use case for a waxed cotton jacket that short. My shortest at least hit upper thigh. The point is to keep the rain off you after all.

Jacket length is not a one size fits all thing. That’s an easy trap for us on the Lounge that I’ve fallen into myself. Certain length numbers are preferred but this doesn’t account for differences in height. I used to consider my 26” jacket way too long (it isn’t) because I convinced myself over 25” was a modern sizing thing. But I didn’t account for the fact that heights are different! I’m about half an inch shorter than you. I’ve also noticed in ads from the 50s that the vintage jackets were offered in tall sizes that were 27 or 28 inches long in some cases!

I think you have to take the fit of a jacket into account too.
If it is tight as moto jackets usually are,, you are better off with a shorter jacket which doesn't hit you bum. That way it won't ride up.
On looser fitting jackets it doesn't matter much.
The exact length needed is in any case dependent on the length of you upper body.
I am 6'3" and can only get away with a 25" jacket because I have a pronounce bum, as I am an avid bycycle rider.

Thanks very much guys!
@Aloysius I agree - Filson, the king of this waxed cotton thing has absolutely no 25-26" jackets in their catalogue... It's the Rogue Territory thing that started selling that style, and that jacket shown above is a 1:1 clone of it.

I agree though that I like the Filson styling better.
