I might on my camera. I got the last batch though!
@Canuck Panda my second favourite hide at the shop was the standard price cow with a smooth finish. Beautiful look and temper. I would highly recommend that if you’re looking for a solid black jacket.
Stereotypical western RMC leather jacket wearer who wears the jacket popping at the seams, refusing to acknowledge that it doesn't fit, such that he resembles a Shinki-cased sausage.
Visited Johnson today and I was blown away.
@red devil Alan mentioned you and your cool designs!
I got measured up and placed my order but I realized right after I left (had to catch a movie) that I forgot a detail I had meant to add. Now I'm wondering if this gives me a bit of extra space to...
Yeah it was huge in the 90s. I remember people wearing them (not always in the huge 90s oversize either) and you can still see them when rewatching 90s TV.
But my point is it's silly to have a stigma based on that. There are cool things regardless of when they were fashionable.
It’s because the 141 and 641 include a zip-in fleece jacket.
641 in 40 = 141 in 38, correct. The 141 might have a bit more give due to the softer naked leather.
If you’re a small guy, the world is your oyster for leather jackets. From Japanese classifieds to vintage to even clearance prices of brand new jackets, you have far more options than most. Take full advantage!
Wow, I genuinely never thought of the Western yoke as something that would give...
Premier or regular?
I'm curious about how shoulder gussets would work on the Highwayman (original) given its boxy cut; of course, large chest + shoulder gussets aren't an unheard of combination.
It's kind of interesting. A number of us have pointed out that we're not quite ready for leather sports coats (because it's such a specific look, sometimes dated in unpleasant ways). I think this is pretty widespread now; some women will wear them, but for men it feels like a 90s throwback. I'm...
I’ve been drawn to this thing for years, especially in roughout rust suede but at the time I was ready to order one they weren’t doing it in suede for some reason.
I‘m kind of glad I didn’t then though because I would have gotten it too short like my Field is. (I took TFL specific numbers for...
And yet, I get why JC offers it as an option, given A-2 guys get angry at Ken for reproducing the wartime patterns but stitching evenly where some originals were asymmetrical etc.
That’s meaningless. Put the same person in the same size across those models and they will look one off. Increase the size of the 6-series and it will look the same.
Leather jacket sites have infamously bad fit pics, except maybe Thedi.
That’s simply how they decided to name their models...
The 641 and 141 have the same pattern, except the tagged size number is one bigger on the 641.
So a 641 in 36 = 141 in 34.
Remember that these jackets come with a removable fleece lining so keep that in mind when you see p2p measurements.
Yeah I get why OP wants to say Bolt was great here lest they try to pull some nonsense like Simmons Bilt and act vengeful towards the customer, but for the rest of us this should be a massive warning to never shop at Bolt.
