My school was from 7:45 until 2:15. I always went to sleep around 2 or 3 -- I liked to watch David Letterman or MTV (that evil thing!) I had a TV with cable in my room and my own stereo, which were the cell phones and computers of my day lol
Now, I can't make it past midnight.
Word.
Also, I love my "mundane" Facebookers! It makes them "regular" to me. I love knowing about the little things people do and the little things that make them who they are. If I want intellectual stimulation I'll go read 16th century literature.
Love FB. It's just a fun, little thing. I don't take it too seriously, nor do I post anything too personal. I keep up with friends and family who have moved away and friends from my old hometown that I haven't seen in years. Not to mention the NEW friends I've made (but have yet to meet!)...
Same here. I love old magazines and patterns and have healthy collections of each.
I love old yearbooks, old photographs...any type of paper product, really. I have my grandfather's traveling suitcase from 1937 that has all kinds of good ephemera in it: letters from my grandmother...
The weirdest comment I ever got from a stranger was "I thought you were religious until I saw your tattoos!" lol
Never got the pregnant comment, thank goodness.
Layers!! I twist my hair a bit when I pincurl and it comes out fine -- just don't twist it too tightly.
Super-small pincurls will cause a "poof."
Make sure you are brushing it out real good. "Against your hand!" as the goddess Lisa Freemont Street says. You may end up brushing your...
Nothing like this. My husband knows how to express his feelings perfectly. We are just 100% comfortable with each other and I find that to be the ULTIMATE in a relationship.
I also like this quality in friends. I call my friend Candace all kinds of terrible names. And vice versa. The...
What makeup are you gals wearing that it slides off your face? I've worn cheap Revlon and Covergirl in 120 degree factory heat with no problems.
I now wear MAC makeup and jog after work (can't be bothered to take it off in the work restroom!) and it stays put.
Is it your skin type...
Totally. My hubby and I call each other vulgar names all the time. And "stupid"!! lol He tells me I dress like an old lady. I tell him he has big ears. I always bust on his ears!!!
Making fun of each other is the ULTIMATE show of affection in my world. If I'm not comfortable to call...
Love a man that makes fun of himself. Majour plus. Especially if he's into something fringe-y (like vintage), doesn't take it too seriously, and REALISES that *he* is the odd man, not the rest of society lol Nothing is uglier than a crybaby. ;)
My hubby is more of the "rockabilly" type...
I don't know about back in the day, but I've never had a problem with makeup running in hot weather -- and I used to work in a glass making factory for 7 years! Makeup always stayed fine, even around fire-blowing machines in 100+ degree heat.
I never starting "doing" my hair until last...
I share a bed with a big 6'1" 180lb husband and a 46 pound Dalmatian lol
We have a huge king size bed, though, so I don't even notice they are there until my dog starts "dreaming" (that's when I tell her to get down!)
But the hubby -- Our bed is HUGE so he's on one end and I'm on the...
I happened to notice the time this morning when I got in the shower and the time when I was done putting on makeup and doing my hair and getting dressed: 13 minutes!!
