I have been looking ar AL's anonymous A2. Looks like a Bronco copy and very similar to Aero's Bronco. Website says it is based on a pattern from 1942 so not a generic version. Vague, every other maker always tout the authenticity of their versions with the original source name. I don't think...
A bit hard to believe SA did not know the source of the patterns. As an owner, his primary concern would be the designs of the collection he will be producing and well aware of the logistics required to assemble it and where they came from. He would know his patterns were very similar to Aero's...
Welll he managed the company for many years. Aero made some great stuff in that time and their reputation(and his) was strong until he was exposed. It appears he could manage staff and also had their loyalty. Perhaps the hardest skill for a manager to master. Its just that he focused his...
That is something a reputable business would not do. But others will cover up dodgy stuff, apply smoke and mirrors and continue as usual in particular if all the principals have the same dirt on their hands. There are many successful businesses that are controlled by criminals who hire front...
Judging from the fairly weak and vague statements from AL dis-associating themselved from WL, I would not be surprised if they are just going to hide him in the business rather than severing the relationship. I doubt AL or SB could get on without his expertise. This other guy Toohey from the...
To me it looks like WL was more than an employee. Reading between the lines of all the evidence there is a strong suggestion IMO that he may have had and still has a partnership and co-owner relationship with SA.
And their prices are consistently lower than the competition. In particular undercutting Aero in all aspects of models and customisation etc; Either they are high volume sellers(not likely), struggling to get customers or SA has deep pockets and thinks he can win a long war of attrition.
Here's one for sale on Ebay. Rarely ever seen an Aero Grizzly for sale. This one with palomino horse hair is a little too wild for me. Need more balls and attitude. Great starting price.

Here is my Aero Grizzly. FQHH cordovan with dark brown mouton, nickel fittings and Harris Tweed Houndstooth lining.
Still needs breaking in. Though will get a lot of wear in the next few months. Surprising easy to wear as it feels nice and balanced.

Thanks, this was a great find for me. The patch is the B17 nose art of DAME SATAN II which was active during 1943/44 in Europe. A lucky bomber that survived to retire "war weary" and did not lose a crew member though being badly shot up a couple of times. I have crew and plane photos, the name...
This is a web photo of my Dubow which I bought from a member of VLJ. Photo taken by a previous owner. It retains original colour and is very similar to the current Aero russet HH.

Many of the advertisements from the 30's targeted them for outdoors sportsperson types including skiers. Probably similar to an Irvin for suitability but not sure.
Thanks guys, wearing one of these is unlike any other leather jacket. Everyone wants to touch it. I was used to wearing solid middle of the road jackets before like Schott's etc but the quality of this is outstanding. Never seen or felt real nice mouton before. Every component is of the best...
I wonder where is Plumbline? He hijacked a thread I recently started just to point out Aero military jacket price rises. He turned the whole thread into a vituperative attack against Aero. Eventually it got so bad the thread was deleted.
Further, some of these posters popping up and...
