Slow learner, that seller. I have had a number of eBay purchases end that way. Ouch.
BTW, what the heck is the liner in the picture? It looks like a shed snake skin.
And what is the sweatband made from?
I am trying not to think about that being a 7 5/8.
Recommend that you heed the mention in other postings on this forum to have some leather or corduroy sewn
in to the base of the back of the lining. This will prevent the cotton drill from sagging and popping out
the back of the jacket.
I just received my cotton drill-lined Hercules FQHH...
Who got this gray Borsalino velour? Looks really lovely.

Yes, but there is no enforcement. You can win, but if he decides not to pay, you don't have much recourse.
Also there's the blood from a stone thing.
BTW, if I have learned anything from this thread, it is that I should be very careful about what I say and do on The Fedora Lounge.
This...
If you're referring to me (and it would be good form to be clear) I don't believe I am being hostile. After over two years, I have information to share
and have sweated a lot longer than most of you.
I don't believe that to have been the case here. The jackets he sent did reflect certain
customizations I requested that are unlikely to have been at hand for him, including removing
the hand warmer pockets, removing the storm cuffs, and most of all putting the horsehide label in the pocket...
Yes, of course. This was not meant as a criticism or comment on Aero Scotland. It was meant to provide a bit of an insight
into Mark Moye, in the spirit of putting together the pieces.
You can certainly pass that gorgeous Bond overcoat to me if it's big enough.
But I think you'll find that the sum you're discussing is a fraction of what you'd pay for
a garment of comparable function at a hideously poor quality outlet like Burlington Coat
Factory, let alone a quality overcoat.
Executive Summary:
I ordered a Hercules through Aero USA's eBay listing in the first week of January, 2010.
I received a jacket at six months that was the wrong size, color, and lining.
I received a second jacket after another six month that was still too small and had
a significant...
oneterrifichog, yes, trying to get some positive news out there. grayland, thanks and yeah, until I had that jacket behind my locked front door,
I had nothing specific to say. I'm still trying to shake a flu so I won't post details until I can think straight.
Everybody, we're all worked up...
Ah Dr. V, you could *ask* if I had a dog in this fight.
As it turns out, I did. Happily, I can now say I got my jacket.
I will tell the complete story soon. But for now let me just say that after over two years of
waiting, my Hercules arrived today. On 3/28 I received email from Mark...
I think Mark can make up his losses with libel lawsuits... I know people are upset, but let's try to refrain from
the accusations. It's just as possible he did not run his business well and screwed up big time or had some
other personal issue.
Can we stick to the facts for the moment...
