If anyone plans to throw out a vintage hat in 7 1/2 long oval based on reading this, perhaps I can help take it off your hands?
I will admit that those 899s look nice. I have been wearing Red Wings for decades, but I don't buy them anymore.
I do visit my local shop from time to time (hey, free shoelaces) but I never see anything I want to buy. I have a pair
of Red Wing logger boots I must have bought in the mid-90s...
By 1924 they had better...

The 'Snow Vehicle' made by Armstead Snow Motors in 1924 is able to drive in the deepest snowdrifts with ease.
I was in there early in the afternoon. The only other person there was a young woman in a red dress, which I suspect
was not you.
Alan wondered why these Fedora Lounge people all wanted that half belt style. I had to tell him it was probably originally my fault...
Well this explains it. I dropped by Johnson today and Alan mentioned that someone in NJ on Fedora Lounge was getting
a lot of work done... He said the bison is shaved down from a 9 oz hide. Imagine a 9 oz bison jacket. He has 3.5 oz bison

Nice and nice to know I'll have options should I not like the gray when/if it arrives.
I expect I will like and find useful the gray color, but I won't know till I see them.
After waiting weeks I sent AE an inquiry and received this:
Dear Sir,
We apologize for the delay on this order...
Here are some bolos I've had around for a while. First my favorite:
And one turquoise, one malachite, with silver dollars for scale:
I thought I'd love the turquoise one more, but it hasn't grown on me. Maybe it will.
I picked up a Navajo watch band with the marking EJ) on the back:
They were guessing Arizona turquoise and maybe Canadian bear claw. I like it... I may be
getting hooked. Inexpensive, too. They said they have dealt with generations of silversmith
families.
Apologies as always for the...
So many outstanding items in this thread I hesitate to post my meager items.
I'm just back from a trip to Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Didn't buy much but I
saw some nice things. Probably the best place I saw for buying things was
Skip Maisel's trading post in Albuquerque. I gather it opened...
