    Met with a roofer today to get a quote for a new heavy cedar shake roof. He arrived ahead of me. When I got out of my truck he looks at me and says, "You look a lot older than you sound on the phone." Scratched his name off the list.

    I make it a rule at our home when we get together for dinner, no cell phones at the table. Period. Your social lives are not that important....

    I don't understand the tremendous dislike of firearms with a good percentage of the younger generation. Perhaps they simply weren't brought up with firearms. I've always been around them so it's not a big deal.

    I went from a size 10 as far back as I can remember to my current size 11 1/2 or 12 depending on the boot maker. I have some very nicely made custom boots from Mexico, as well as some made stateside. I think it boils down to the boot maker, not the brand...

    Patina is very good. Terrible if it's not real. That biker jacket is great. The price is silly.
