A very atmospheric deleted scene from City Lights (1931)
Fun Fact: The dull-witted delivery boy is Charles Lederer (1906-1976), nephew of Marian Davies, who went on to be a screenwriter and director whose screenwriting credits included Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and Ocean's 11. And the window dresser is assistant director Harry Crocker (1893-1958) who was fired early in the production. Crocker was also a journalist who was a columnist with the Los Angeles Herald for many years.

Also if you look closely you can see the same extras walking by several times wearing different hats and coats each time. I can just picture a pile of hats back there and a wardrobe person feverishly handing them out! You can also see them make a slight turn around the back of the set where they lined up to reenter the scene.

These are fantastic photos. The first photograph of the little boy, we have that photo. Bid on it at a silent auction for a benefit in Los Angeles a couple years back. Would you happen to know who the photographer is?

The photo was provided by “Pinterest”.
It’s an app I found on my iPhone.
Based on the themes which I have chosen, they will provide images that
they feel I may like. Photos are uploaded by Pinterest members.
The ones I like, I post here to share with others on the forum.
When possible I like to include history of the images when it is available.
