You're killing me. It's this time of year I always start to think about trying out Cowboy Action Shooting.
I need to go price out Peacemaker replicas, lever-action carbines, and coach guns again so I can remember why I haven't done it yet.
I've begun to believe my blazers don't want to be buttoned at all, since they keep spitting out their top buttons. The razor-sharp loops on the back of the metal buttons seem to work their way through the stitching in about seven wearings.
Shangas, why not just order it if that's what you really want?
Custom Hide 1945 US Army leather brown briefcase.
I've had mine for years now (just had it serviced by them, in fact), and don't regret it in the least. Or will they not do overseas sales?
Wonderful stuff, VB. I recently discovered Mr. Hagey via Instagram and I've been gobbling up his blog.
I'm nowhere near as Dapper as these Chaps, but I do find their sartorial independence quite inspiring!
The other interesting thing, about which not much is known, is that my grandfather witnessed the murder or accidental killing of his cousin while a teenager:
The "SHS 31" means "Springfield (Illinois) High School, Class of 1931". They were in an alleyway and encountered someone with a .45...
Probably the most interesting fact I've learned is that I still have a fairly close branch of the family back in the old country. My great-great grandfather was one of three brothers who came here as adults in the 1880s. This I knew. What I did not know until fellow lounger and distant cousin...
I think the trick is to think of this not as a peacoat made of denim, but as a denim jacket cut as a peacoat. I've never liked the high-and-tight fit of most denim jackets, but I could certainly see wearing this. I suspect it's out of my price range, however.

I'd love to ride on any PCC, but especially a DSR liveried one. Too bad all of Detroit's originals were destroyed in an earthquake, otherwise I'll bet at least one would be plying the lines of Frisco.
Just picked this one up from Vintage Haberdashers (Dinerman). Very nice hat. And oddly, it seems the former owner and I have very similar names - I am a William David II also.
