    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Welcome Justin. That is exactly like my OK Sub. I also often wear it, or a military Woolly Pully sweater, with a Barbour jacket.

navy-rollneck-submariner-sweater This is a good one I think: I have their Breton Guernsey sweater (Navy wool Guensey with white stripes) and it's a perfect fit.

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Please let us know which one you choose. OKW is a bit addictive: I have been a customer for many, many years. It was cool enough for a Navy Woolly Pully (from OKW of course) this evening.

    Terms Which Have Disappeared

Thank you for that and they look great. On our side of the Pond, it is probably easier and cheaper for us to order straight from Outdoor Knitwear! It looks very much as if they are the manufacturer for Blauer.

Most days it's still to warm for sweaters but we are moving slowly towards autumn - too slowly, but at least we're moving.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

I still have deeply unpleasant memories of Summer 1995 - 25 years ago! Day after day of heat and humidity, beginning in June, getting worse in July and worst of all in August!!! The nights were sticky and even first thing in the morning the sun started to burn. I was living in central London...

I wore a Dark Grey Mix WP early today - a sign that autumn is coming (thank goodness!). I also received the email from OKW. Will they have another sale, I wonder? They seems to have a fairly scattergun approach to their advertising at the moment.

Are there other videos besides the Submariner sweaters?

    Autumnal Thoughts........

I don't sleep at all well in summer, high summer especially, but now I find that I am getting far longer and more relaxing sleep. The mornings are cooler, the sun is (mostly) gentler. And, best of all, the nights are 'drawing in'. We are getting there at last!!!

    Autumnal Thoughts........

In terms of political history, I remember reading ‘Miami and the Siege of Chicago’ by Norman Mailer - about the Republican and Democratic Conventions in 1968. In Chicago, the ‘Yippies’ staged a counter-convention in Lincoln Park and nominated a live pig called Pigasus (‘Vote Pig In ‘68). Strange...

Even thinking about that makes me want to put my hands over my ears and scream like the Edvard Munch figure.

Agreed. It’s a good film and demonstrates the rugged manliness of these sweaters.

Yes, I was thinking of Hamburg or one of the other Hanseatic ports?

It might be the Netherlands or North Germany. Great filming anyway. Nice sweaters. Nice chaps. Nice beards.
