I found a set of Remington Tight Curls at Value Village yesterday for $3.99. They don't have clips though...anyone know where I can find some small clips, (the kind that look like giant hair pins.) I would like to sell them but I want to try them first, see what all the fuss is about.
Well I finished putting it together and it was a bit too big. I realized the sloper I used is semi fitted and would be better suited to making blouses. Oh well! Now I am trying to decide how much ease I should include in my next sloper to make it very fitted. I'm thinking maybe none.....I...
Yeah, it's not really a big deal. I will cut, the overhang of the bra and then sew through my wing and bra in the side seam. I'm sure it will work out. I'm just upset that after so much careful planning and three pattern drafts (flat drafting with a sloper), something didn't add up.

Wing Bust Halter Top update
So here is the wing bust halter top I constructed SANS PATTERN. I have finally attached that silly wing and bra to the bodice. And something funny happened....the wing and bra are wider than they should be. I checked my pattern over and over again, and then...
I trim mine using one of those mini electric clippers. And then I thread the upper lid, in between my eyebrows and a little above the brow. I get lots of little fine hairs around my eyebrows which are very hard to tweeze because there are so many and they are so fine. Makeup can cling to them...
Hestia - I think we have the same type of hair. When I'm in a rush and my hair is freshly washed, I just pull back the sides and then let it air dry. Sometimes I twist the sides and push them up to add a bit of volume and pin with bobby pins. Sometimes I just use combs.
I hope this helps
Here is the pattern Simplicity 3673 with sailor collar.
Here is what the pattern pieces look like.
And here are the instructions, which pertain to the collar...
Sorry the pictures are so big, I just wanted to make sure all the details were visible.
I hope this...
Well I have seen some pictures of wing bust bodices that have no center front seam....gr.....so now it looks like I might do the center front seam of the bodice AND bra and then sew them together sandwiching the wing.......
Now, on to the closure, how does a side, lapped zipper sound.....
Ooo,I looked up the VogueS4300 and it's beautiful. What I gathered from scrutinizing the WT pictures is that although the bra is attached to the side seam, the wing is only attached to the front bodice. I thought about it all day long yesterday, I even dreamed about it the day before....Right...
What now....
So I made a sloper. From the sloper I made a pattern for a wing bust halter top using these pictures.

I am making the first muslin and I have no idea how to assemble this.
Should I baste the bra to the wing and then sew them...
Chanteuse - I think it looks terrific! It might be tougher for a day to day look because of all the work. If I had the patience to style my hair like that everyday I certainly would. Did your stylist take very long to do it?
My husband and I are trying to buy a house. We went to see one yesterday and it was full of vintage sewing stuff including some very impressive patterns. The person who owned the house is deceased and I am now in the awkward position of wanting to ask my realtor to get me in touch with the...
