I picked up 4 bottles of polish yesterday. 2 pairs that I matched specifically for doing reverse french manicure.
The first pair is InstaDri in Beige Blast with Revlon in Valentine. The InstaDri brushes are REALLY cool - like small round eyeshadow brushes. The colour is a tiny bit sheer...
Right now I really like Red Hot Tamale by Revlon. It's a very bright red. I also like Craving Coral, it's an even brighter coral red. Revlon's Make Mine Mango is my favourite coral pink shade. I'd really like to try Raven Red next.
I checked and the sites are ok. I used http://www.leenas.com/ to make my slopers. And then I am using http://www.vintagesewing.info/ for the pattern design. The sloper section in pattern design on the vintage sewing info website is a little harder. The measurements are harder to take because...
SLOPERS!
I have successfully created a set of slopers for myself and I am designing a dress. Actually I'm using an existing pattern for reference. Rather than grading/resizing, I thought I'd try my hand at using these slopers. So I'm almost done and it's going well. I just thought I'd ask...
I tried to PM you but it would not let me:( We could exchange copies. Let me know if there is anything you are looking for. It might be simpler for me to copy the pattern and return the pattern to you, but if you aren't comfortable with that I can understand and I won't be offended.
This thread is so much fun. This was my costume last halloween. I was the only one at work that dressed up:( I just got all the parts at thrift stores. I covered the cod piece with an old white T-shirt, it was black. I couldn't find the right boots so I just pulled black socks over my...
I know this is really old but it actually has some GREAT advice and tips on sewing with patterns. The pain-in-butt tedious stuff that is taught in this video is actually worth while. (:p Who knew a generation who made most of their clothes themselves would know anything about making...
What a great find.:eusa_clap I really like the 'blouse drapee'. Would I perhaps be able to copy it? Also, if you need a hand translating the instructions, I speak french fluently and would be glad to help.
I finished my keyhole and peplum dress. This is the second one I made. The first one fit wierd. I had to drop the waist an inch. My husband thinks it makes me look like an old lady...:(
WHHAAA!!! I love this picture; it looks like a vintage add for coca cola. Plus all the cars in the background are vintage. Really cool! And I love the playsuit. What pattern did you use? I think it's time for me to take out my sailor playsuit pattern.
I am making slopers. It's going well but yesterday I realized that my tape measure and ruler are a little bit different. Can anyone recommend a good brand so I can buy a tape measure and ruler that actually match.
Wow, Lauren! Your new haircut is soo cute. I'd like to go that short but I don't think I could handle the increase in maintenance. That length is perfect for pin curls. I wish I could play with your hair and experiment! I just think your length would be the most fun for setting and styling...
I did my hair and now it's raining...figures
I set the back with orange perm rods, rolled down. I set the rolls in foam bendy rollers. The tops of the rolls were set forward (like rolled bangs) and the lower parts were going back and up. My hair is wavy and a little all over the place...
