    spear carrier

trap I thought they might be tourist stuff, but fairly old, say 60's, as the workmanship is quite good on the binding of the barbs. I've got them on the wall next to my shell ikat hanging, and that looks OK for $25 worth. I'll hang onto them for another 10 years or so and flog em off!

How to display the American Flag properly

bunting The American reverence for their flag is usually a puzzle to outsiders, especially those of us who didn't throw off our colonial bonds by force. But that's their way of doing things and that's fine. Our flag is of no importance to me, I don't own one and wouldn't fly it if I did...

    belt up

I'm hoping this thread will have some experts here who can tell me the vintage of this ammo(?) belt I picked up at an auction...paid a bit too much I think, but anyway, i thought it had to be pre-vietnam as it's not green.

    not my usual thing, but.....

depends on where the dings were all on the edge of the brim at the front, and quite gruesome, so a judicious application of an emery board shaved the brim back enough for them to blend in, this can also tidy up some that aren't too conspicuous if they aren't too deep, otherwise there are...
