Until you know exactly what Jacket you have and what it's worth...I'd leave it be...Just try to air it out for now, *seriously* these things take their own time and you have to be patient... You might give it a spray down pretty heavily with some Eucalan wool cleaner and dab it and you leave it...- Dumpster Diver

If I'm being COMPLETELY honest, I like the ALPHA Jacket *better* than original save that it's got plastic Zippers and fake fur hood...The reason behind this is that modern food, modern clothes like all things have evolved. Just keep in mind they are "Supposed" to break in that way. I think it looks Awesome when the chrome comes off a bit...It's wonderful! Sheepskin is incredibly fragile stuff, That looks to me like good honest wear.- Dumpster Diver

Original WWII low boots
What size are you wearing? I have steel toed Canadian Parade boots (Dated 1942) with solid brass grommets, and original laces in NM condition (They've never been broken in or polished!) Due to age, some of the nails in the soles are oxidized and might need replacing if you intend to wear them...- Dumpster Diver

I would have recommended hand washing, spot cleaning...that's the best way. layer up, it's cold out there!!! I'm glad you sorted it out, clean garments are warm garments. Cleaning Nylon Flight Wear
I wouldn't recommend washing the Nylon, it will eventually loose it's crispy starchiness...well then again I think the Dryer is what will do serious damage more than a washing machine...but Hand wash only if possible.
