WOAH!!! Someone must REALLY like you!!! Lucky you!!!
And that Jacket wow!!! man!!! I GOTTA SAY that it totally Suits you!!! AWESOME!!!
honestly, looks amazing..it IS amazing...wow!!!
didn't I Just read someone hear saying correct military size and fit was a couple sizes up? you need enough...
I voted Sheepskin military Jackets.
I'm reading very accurate polls in the general cross section of what I've seen here in this forum in my getting to know some of the fellow members, and their tastes in style a little better.
Seeing no love for Nylon is only a matter of it being a second...
All in good time Matey!!! All in good time.
Here's an idea of the kind of Jeans I'm making and selling.
I do some plain bellbottoms too of course, I like the light acid-washed faded Denim, the best best Bellbottoms are recylced from GWG brand Jeans (Great western Garment Co.)
Good prices...
Nice Jacket and hat combo, looks excellent on you!!! WOW!
Here's back in November the 10th at the kingston record sale, by an abandoned factory about to be torn down. a frank Kozik pin next to what you can't see as a patch but...That's a Jon spencer Sings the hits patch I got at the Show in...
I'd say Leave it...you're Jacket gets a time worn patina that makes it what it is...and you need to pride your jacket IMO on the character and wear. But that's me...if the leather is dry, you can oil it...but otherwise Leave it alone.
if you want a new Jacket look...get a new Jacket.
Leather...
I totally have forgotten my measurements, I checked the Jacket..It's a 1986 Avirex B-3 In size 46.
I'm 6,1" and rough estimate about 185 pounds, This Jacket fits me pretty good I would say.
Don't know, I'll take my measurements tomorrow, I've got a headache tonight dear.
My place is proof there's a shortage of people thinking this way...I keep cool vintage stuff...my place is a museum.
It's some kind of recessive Gene or something? do you think?
NO I disagree, I think it's a PERFECT FLAWLESS fit on you!!! awesome jacket!!! Really good cut man!
You're not swimming in it, If it's a bit roomy you Layer up and wear a nice military Scarf.
Once it breaks in you'll have a lot more room though I'm sure when the fleece packs down a bit more...
This I believe was from two falls ago, The last G-1 I bought myself from Ebay.
The *Look* for me then (which ALWAYS changes) was the Hand knitted WWII wool Cap, Yes Just like the GI's of the day who's mothers were loving enough of their sons overseas to make them something to keep them warm...
If it's too short, it's too short. If it's a serious thing you can't live with, do what you have to do... or live with it as-is right?
If it was my money, I could fully sympathize.
I'm with you all, which is why I'm having trouble fronting cash for a B-3 myself.
Having something *perfect*...
Short is OK.
but it is NOT ok if the Jacket is too tight on you etc...I do like mine to be a little longer, the front should be a tad shorter at the bottom to give the back more room to breathe, as you might be sitting down in a cockpit for example...Short at the front, longer at the back...
I have an Avirex B-3 from about 1986.
Where does your Jacket not fit correctly? sleeves too long? Waist too big?
the hard part I ALWAYS find for a B-3 is to make the shoulders fit correctly and that takes the right shirt underneath sometimes, a scarf too.
Otherwise the sleeves tend to droop...
I'm glad to see this thread still alive and well, as Am I...long time have I been away.
I have some B-3's I might soon be listing for sale, depends.
I really want to pull the trigger with the Eastman Mixed batch Jacket...You know I do.
I have dozens of flight Jackets, maybe If I can bite...
Still have to make a hat still for you Bn1966...I got pretty side tracked with life...well the good news is that I managed to order the correct Sewing machine parts and they did the Trick we're back in the game.
