GMCD is a good dude. I bought from him recently. you can buy with confidence. With all the nonsense going on, probably good idea for others to vouch for legit people doing fair trade.
epic on so many levels
Get in line LOL :p. Although, my Cal search is over, so you can take my spot.
I still remember when it was posted in Finds and Deals thread. The Ykk zipper killed it for me, but looking back, that was myopic. Easy fix for that.
edit: or maybe it was the one with...
Count me in on this blackened brown Vic Ridley. I'm now a permanent fan of this pattern and leather. I think it's some of Aero's best. Also shout out to @Carrie @ Thurston Bros. For sending me a couple replacement eyelets so I could fix the underarm vent. TB really specs these jackets out...
^^^ exactly this. As a seller, assuming you're being legit and will deliver as promised, you're best bet is PPFF.
The catch 22 is this...
As a buyer, I think the lesson is don't do PPFF... unless the person you're transacting with has some presence, reputation here, etc. That's still no...
you can go through Carrie at Thurston Bros to order a Thedi. And that will take out the communication delays of dealing with Greece directly. And I think you'll find the pricing to be about the same or pretty close.
And I agree with your mom  There's nothing like Thedi out there right...
yep, to put it simply.
If it were closer in size, there'd be a few variables to really hone in the equation. Leather type (i.e. CXL fits different than Vicenza), Gussets/Action Back allow for a smaller measurement, Style (some jackets you can get away wearing tighter, i.e. a racer)
edit, btw...
oh heck ya. I'll be around as much as ever LOL. I take it as a challenge to avoid the temptation. Besides, fun chatting with you all and from time to time, I pick up some useful info.
Yep, that's the plan, start wearing the heck out of these things. Legit jacket weather now out by me at...
When I first got on these forums about a year ago, a jacket slipped through my fingers. And I always wondered about it. Some 40 buys/sells/trades later, I think I have a better sense of what I like, what'll fit, what'll look better, etc.. So I really honed in the collection to what I think is...
Welcome. Get your paypal and credit card info memorized :p
Plenty of great jackets on our classifieds and I suspect more coming as people start hitting the closets for the first time in many months.
Just caught up on this thread. Wow, this should be the before and after shot anytime anyone asks about how CXL breaks in. It's the perfect example of leather not "stretching" but laying flatter and becoming more pliable. And definitely gives people a light at the end of the tunnel that the...
you might need some sort of crimping or grommet sort of tool. Otherwise, you can probably finnagle it. If the "ugly" part is going to be on the inside and not very visible, I'd give it a go.
I've got to install an eyelet in the arm pit vent of the Ridley I just bought. Somehow one of them...
nah, I feared it would be too much back and forth, sending to Greece, etc. Plus I wasn't the original owner. Had I remembered Marc was going, I might have asked him to see if he could pick up a spare zipper for me. But to be honest, the zipper was always the one thing on the jacket I didn't...
wow, nice one. Something like this would be good for a woman. Cals already have a pretty aggressive taper to them and the smaller overall frame could be a good fit.
Nice! Just saw your youtube video with Stridewise. Good stuff. Cool seeing some of the TFLers in video format. Never quite sure what anyone will sound like LOL.
I know, right.
It felt like there was too much pull on the bottom part of the tape. So the slider was almost at a 45 degree angle instead of laying at a 12 o'clock position. In order to get the pin in, you had to bend the male pin into the slider,, get it down all the way through and then...
