Talking about travel bags .. which is what these are .... or rather leather bags because travel bags should have wheels ! No teenage girls ... just the experience of over 1.5 million air miles and a smidge over 80 countries in 27 years in the oil industry. Travel unfortunately is part of the...

Belt or No Belt on an MC Jacket

I steer clear of belted jackets on the bike .... for many of the above reasons .... the one traditional D pocket jacket I have left has loop-s but no belt. Even sinched up it's still gonna scrtch your tank ( DAMHIKTIJDOK) and if you don't do it up it becomes a whirling weapon of damage and...

Speaking of travel bags, murses and such ...

This style of bag .. while very cool ... IS USELESS for travelling unless you park less than 20yds from the check in desk. Otherwise both shoulders of your jacket and shirt will be fecked ... and you'll be a sweating panting wreck. Even with the limited availabillity of luggage trolleys ...

    Leather cement

Depends on the contact cement .... I have had good results removing glue from jackets with either "zoff" ( used for removing gum residue ans sticky stuff nleft by decals on motorcycles and is water soluable solvent) or something as simple as a pencil eraser. HTH R

Breaking in Selvedge Denim - 14 oz. vs 21 oz.

I think Boak is phonetic .... refering to the noise one makes while in the act of .. "Boakin'" or "Bowkin'" which may ( or may not) involve the production of vomit. At least that is the Glaswegian origins .... :D
