Cavanagh 100 "Denver" converted by Art

Here's one I've had for a few years, but recently rediscovered.
I think you'll find it interesting. It came to me in a more-or-less
Open Road block. But it's a 60s hat and had very sharp, narrow
ridges on top and generally looked bad to me. So I sent it to
Art Fawcett and he did his thing. It's a stiff hat with super fine
felt. We left the inside as-is, but obviously he put on a new ribbon.
I hope you'll agree it makes a good fedora:

Not my best photo ever...

Here's the inside:

Well the picture didn't show up as a picture so don't know how to fix that. Secondly, the attachment is way too small to really see anything so I'll have to work on that too. Why oh why aren't these things simpler? Arrgghhh!

You have to click on the little box with the mountain-like
triangles and the yellow background with the pop-up text
"Insert Image" and then put your image URL in there. That
or put "
" after it.

Not sure why the image is so small. That's a Fotki thing.

Did this over the winter and it's not a cowboy hat, but it fits in here.

A vintage novelty wool tophat (dime a dozen) turned fedora. I really like the '20s/early '30s look it has going on.

5" crown bashed, 2 3/8" brim. Perfect dimensions for late '20s/early '30s. Photos don't capture the look of this hat.

mmm, reverse taper...
