1. When making and selling fedora, do I need to mark the initial height of the crown before shaping it?
2. Is the Hamburg hat shaped like a pencil roll? + Pencil roll = 3/4 curling or 1/2 size?
3. How much strength do you use when using sandpaper in the process of smoothing the felt?

There is a lengthy thread here in the Lounge on pouncing. Use the Google search to find it. A Homburg requires a special curling shackle called a D'Orsay to make the exaggerated Homburg curl. With lots of work and a 1" brim shackle it is possible to replicate (with practice).
