So far in this last month brought a Fedora, a Derby, a cheap trillby ( for when i dress very informal) and the borsalino homburg. Was a hat crazyness month.

I’ve been looking for a Stetson St. Regis in black for a while but hats in my size are hard to come by. Today I threw in the towel and bought this Miller (Biltmore) on eBay. I have a couple of other Biltmores so I feel confident that it will fit. Now I need a chocolate brown Homburg.

I really like the wider brim homburgs. I hope I’m not disappointed when it arrives.

Ok, here is one of my favorites, a fairly recent Stratton longhair finish rich dark brown Homburg of real nice proportions. 5 1/2 inch open crown, 2 1/2 inch brim. Very hard to photograph........Now they no longer make anything but law enforcement hats and a couple of western styles.

I had no idea that Stratton ever made homburgs, and that’s a good looking hat. I’ll keep an eye open for one of these. Thanks.

Both of my recent Etsy homburg purchases arrived today (the stars aligned and it was a three hat day for new arrivals!):

Biltmore Peluche (long hair) in black:

Borsalino Continental in dark grey:

And as has been my experience, the Borsalino runs on the small side.

Very impressive Brent. Gotta start looking for one of those Biltmores, I really dig that Peluche finish. Every Borsalino in my collection runs small as well..

Thanks so much for thinking of me! For some reason, Homburgs have been literally falling in my lap lately! I'd love to have another blue one. Looking for a brown or similar color.

Last weeks' find. Hückel Welheim homburg hat in black. Size 58 with a brim at 6cm and crown 10,5cm at the pinch. Very sleek looking homburg.
