Hmmm.

Thanks everyone.

I'm hoping it's a Whippet, but I can't tell. I've not heard of the Ivy League model, but it looks NICE. I wish I could find a hat in that green color.

As soon as it arrives I'll give it a detailed once over and let everyone know what it is...Thanks again!

I doubt the color in those pictures could be that far off. ;) :p
It is likely gray. Nothing wrong with gray either. It matches quite a lot. :D

Wow. Congrats on that Deeds. :eusa_clap I really like it, especially the color and the ribbon treatment. I have a similar bow on one of my old Maysers. I'm curious about the way the wind trolley is attached to the bow. What's the story here?
The button stays on the hat and the looped end comes loose and attaches to your label button.

I looked at that hat, and it looks like the wind trolly is buttoned into a special hole in the ribbon rather than just looped back on itself. Very unique.

nope. Sewn to the ribbon. It's not terribly uncommon to see this setup, at least on earlier hats. It also seems to have been favored by smaller hatters.

I'm going out now, so I'll just give an advance congrats to today's big, "amazing" ebay winner. I really, really wish I could squeeze my head into your incredible hat. It's "40" times fantastic.

Along with a couple of JtL's felts and Gene's panama (though there are probably more than I can't remember), that's got to be one of my favorites of this year. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
