    Show us your Guns!

Zulu great Movie ! I loved the part where they sat there listening to the " Train ". The .45 ACP was also adopted as a " Man Stopper " during Americas involvement in the Phillipines. The local guerrillas the Moros (?) were jacked up on drugs. The .38 did not fare too well but the .45 did. A...

When I was married my wife made me get a dryer. I grew up with Mom putting clothes on the line so I thought my wife would followed suit. Guess not but I could not suvive without one. I remember my first impressions of Amsterdam is clothes being dried out on balconies. The beautiful architecture...

Back before the WWII fad you were able to pick them up for 5 bucks. Now... forget it ! I also own a couple of the Brit ones unissued. They are...

    Vintage Telephone Ringtones

Speaking of vintage phones how many of you remember DIALING a phone ! It seems everybody back in the 60s had one of those black telephones in their house. A far cry from cell phones who would have thought.

    WWII vet still going strong

Back in my crazy skydiving days we had some Veterans doing static line jumps for an anniversary jump in Holland. That was back in the 80s which would have made them in their 50s ! Some wore their vintage Jumpsuits which was a real treat for me back then.

    P37 Canteen Stopper

I have a couple of "water bottles" myself also unissued. The rusty nut is the least of my worries with those. Like all vintage canteens I am more concerned with the lining. I've seen some nasty calcium deposits in some of my metal ones. The british one you have is enamel coated so it's OK just...

    A-3 Pants?

They were mostly used by bomber crews, from what I've heard they were too bulky to use in fighters ( B-3 ensemble ). A size 38 definately makes the value of your pants go up.

A couple of my customised 1/6th scale WW2 soldiers

That's totally awesome ! Far cry from the Air Fix minitures I did as a kid. As I recall they were 50 cents a box. We used them mostly for Army Men back then.

    The Kokoda Track

Rufus you are absolutely correct ! Geez I never figured a dude in London would solve that mystery for me. He did some great stories he did one I remember where they had a knife fighter. He alluded to the fact he was strange and effeminate but ended up knifing some guys in a fight. This guy ended...

    The Kokoda Track

As mentioned on another post I read this as a kid in a comic book. Back then in the 60's I read "Sgt. Rock" the "Haunted Tank" and others. There was a feature story and then a second feature. One artist who's name escapes me always did stories about his experiences in the Pacific. His stories...
