Awesome photos ! If it weren't for some of the contemporaries in the shots I would swear they were circa 1940s. I tried BW with a 35mm years ago it didn't have the same feel. I tried different ASAs they did not seem to work. I was trying to get some grainy shots with 400 but that did not work... -

MrBern you are correct, the 505th and the 504th (82nd) both were in the Mediterranean. They both had extensive combat experience by Normandy. Any old radio stations in LA?
Unfortunately it seems only Satelite is the way to go. I don't listen to the radio enough to justify getting it. So it's CDs for me it's cheap though who want's to listen to Glenn Miller's War time broadcasts in German ? -

I remember walking to the gas station with a quarter and a gas can and getting a couple pennies back that was Mowing the lawn in the 60s. Russian re-enacting.
The Russians had a cool way to clear minefields. They had soldiers who shirked their duties and put them in "Penalty Battalions". They would make the shirkers link arms and walk across minefields. To say the Russians were motivated soldiers is an understatement !
