You look so great! That hat is to die for, I really want one (with googles, natch).
Test Pilot is one of my favorites too. Tracy and Gable were so good together and Myrna's always the bee's knees.
That's such a great movie, one of my favorites but I still haven't bought the DVD--I think I have a mental block since I've picked it up more times than I can count. Must buy!
That whole cast is great but I especially love the girl who plays little Kay. I read somewhere that Shirley Temple...
Heartbreaker! That's such a pretty dress and a nice size too. I'd have been bidding on it too if I'd seen it (but I didn't see it and I didn't bid against you!).
Nothing But Flowers by Talking Heads
The Book of Love by Magnetic Fields; I love the words--
The book of love is long and boring
No one can lift the damn thing
It's full of charts and facts and figures and instructions for dancing but I
I love it when you read to me and you
you can...
I wasn't sure where to put this so bartenders feel free to move it if you'd like.
I went to Staples today and they had notebooks with all these fun, vintagey covers. Prices weren't bad either.
You look amazing as ever VB but those shoes! I've gotten some really nice vintagey stuff from JC Penney and Sears but I'm always surprised when I do.
Guess which site I'm flying over to look at after I post this?
You look great--I especially like how the pattern of your socks echo the pattern of your tie, and that hat is perfection.
Off topic, but did the movie get a good turn out? I've never seen that one on the big screen, I bet it was fun.
It was Jay Ward, I thought as much. Thanks for that link but it's so frustrating! They show all these great t-shirts but none of them are for sale! I'll have to look elsewhere.
I've not seen many of the commercials posted--fun! Another commercial that always cracks me up is the Little...
Thanks alot Prairie Dog--I've just wasted an hour watching old commercials!;)
It was fun though. Here's some of my favorites--some old some not:
My favorite commercial ever (and I hate Starbucks!); Starbucks Glen; the bus, cute Glen, Roy! I love how the musicians are really selling the...
~~Ann Miller's 1970 Great American Soup Commercial
http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=148992&fr=
I LOVE this commercial--she had such a great sense of humor about herself and her image. "The soupy road to romance" indeed!
We may not have hat stores but there's a bunch of friendly Loungers in Boston--drop a line in the events section if you want to try to get a meet-up together!
