I dressed vintage for most of the conference I just attended in San Francisco and I got some nice compliments.
I think my favorite comment was when I attended a reception that quickly followed another event. I barely had time to blow into my room and throw on a black 1950's cocktail...
I adore Ed Wynn and I've always thought he should be better known than he is today. Wonderful as Mr. Dussell in The Diary of Anne Frank and he's in a couple of really good Twilight Zone episodes too.

Brava on the hats Zaika--hats and shoes are such a godsend aren't they, untouched by weight fluctuation as they are? They're both gorgeous but I especially like the red one--I've not seen one like it before.
I think their riffs on the short films are my favorites (who knew Union Pacific produced such gems?). That Iowa Home Ec one Starius mentioned up thread is a favorite too.
