There was a chap selling reproduction Republican badges at War And Peace in Kent. I noticed he also sold SS memorabilia which sort of offended me! I'm from the south and my family suffered badly in the troubles. My father lost his sister Roisin to Scarlet Fever as they were under curfew and his...

'passed on to her eternal reward' what a lovely expression!
I don't have any golden era ghostie stories, but when I was a student I worked nights in a care home to help pay for my tuition. There was a lovely old lady who I used to help dress etc before bedtime. She said to me one night 'tell...
For golden era I always wanted to be Vivien Leigh as a child, I practised raising my eyebrow like she does in GWTW! But I really adore Ginger Rogers, not just the all singing all dancing Ginger, but the great actress-'Kitty Foyle' is still a great film and still makes me sniffle. plus she had...
Hi there, yes primarily I did WW2 living history but I've been doing more and more WW1 /Edwardian events here in the UK. My hair is very long and wavy, so for once it's pretty ideal for the era!
I love your 30s pink frock/nightdress-reminds me of a photo I have on my wall- June 1936 Claire...

I'm more 30s 40s as is my partner, but he regularly get's 'greasy 50s throwback!' from 'friends' ( it was a line on a TV show here, where the host had a vaguely retro quiff....only thing is he doesn't have a quiff!
I think a few of the antipodean loungers know Walter, chap with a moustache, likes to dance.
Walter comes to the UK quite a lot and has called and left a message on my answer phone regarding an event on May 29th.
If anyone knows him, I don't have a phone number or email address for him...
Anyone got a pic of the 'Decades of style' trousers made up? I'm torn between buying those or the Evadress ones-if I buy the DoH ones I won't need to grade them up!
There are two of these in an Antique shop near me, but no matter how many times I ask the lady says they're not for sale just for 'set dressing' I adore them, one is blond with shingled hair and wearing a slip and peignoir! So cool.
Never knew their origin!
