I do blog!
My first ever blog is now live! Please pay me a visit! I'll try and post at least once a week (life permitting). Please comment and share! :)

oh god... HOW many times has this happened to me?! Glad I'm not the only one! Why is it that the rude/negative responses always come from the people who, from their appearance, should be judging you the least? Hmmm. (a discussion for another thread!)
Getting looked up and down by someone who...
This is good advice! I tentatively unroll one roller from my thickest section (front top), and if there's even the slightest hint of dampness, on goes the headscarf. Nothing worse than a half-dry set that despite you having slaved over it the night before, will go lank and flat in the blink of...
Awesome! Well, let me know how you get on with it. To me it's like a lighter, more refreshing cold cream- just don't get it in/on your eyes else it will sting ( as I mentioned). I'm guessing that's the menthol and lemon extract!
To fortworthgal also: I found it in CVS. BUT it seems to be a bit hit and miss, as most of the time they don't have it, and if I go down the road to another nearby CVS, they never have it at all- don't even stock the brand. Here is is on their website, and it looks like you can order online if...
yay, glad to spread the word and help someone out! I think all the colours in it are very flattering. They're surprisingly pigmented for cheap e/s, but you can still apply them subtly. I know what you mean too, all I ever wear is neutral brown/beige/gold shades, so this palette is perfect!
Awesome! :) isn't it great when you get something that saves you money AND works well. Have a look at the Beauty Bargains thread, there's quite a few money-saving suggestions/swaps in there! And welcome! :)
What I was going to say was, I've recently been using JR Watkins' Daily Cleansing Cream...
I realized my whole makeup bag could go in this thread, the only thing that costs more than $10 is my Ruby Woo! Even my foundation I buy cheap from eBay (Revlon Mineral Matte mousse, just like the liquid colorstay but lighter and easier to blend and get off)!
Anyway... has anyone else tried MUA...
I have/had a friend like that once. It seemed like you could mention anything in the whole world and he would know something about it. I suppose it wasn't really a question of humility, just the fact that he couldn't keep his damn mouth shut! An answer for everything and an opinion on...
Okay, I promise I will stop spamming this thread. But this just about trumps everything vintage I've ever bought (apart from one or two things ;)).
Vintage bonnet dryer and nail salon/dryer. I'm guessing 50s or no later than early 60s. In my favorite color and color combination (pale...
Sorry I only just saw this! On day 5 of my perm now and I'll probably wash it today or tomorrow, but it looks pretty similar to when my hairdresser set it 4 days ago! Compare that to having to wash/set every other day!
I don't normally post pics of myself, and I would love to help you out...
Just gorgeous, and I know what you mean- I am a little bit smaller- about a 36- but even that is considered 'large' in vintage sizing, and because of my hips (40in) I normally end up having to buy dresses that are several inches too big in the bust. It's always good to have breathing room and...
THAT PURSE! :o :D <3 I am in love. So gorgeous. I would love an alligator purse.
Now that I've figured out how to post photos I could spam this thread all day with my Etsy stuff :D *but* I'll be good and just show a couple more things...for now.
70s sundress- not something I would normally...
sorry, AdrianLvsRocky, I can't help you with the hairclip!
thank you, and thank you Miss Golightly and Laurie for the comments- it's funny that it seems to be popular, as it's probably the least 'vintage' of the lot! I think I can make it work 40s-style with a poodle do and the right...
Hopefully I don't get told off for bumping my old thread, but it was so useful to me that I just wanted to add: I had my second perm yesterday, after a few months of having completely natural hair, and I've been reminded of how much I love it! Anyone who has fine/flat/greasy hair and is...
I have many, but I think my crowning glory (no pun intended) was a hair-dye disaster when I was 14:
I am naturally dark blond, and one day I decided I wanted dark brown hair. Bought some dye and did it, and it looked great. About a month later I decided I wanted it WHITE blond. Of course, I was...
I used to go five or six days without washing and would still have fantastic curls, until I noticed- like you - that it looked like I had dandruff, when in fact it was just a build up of setting lotion that had flaked. I was horrified, especially seeing as anyone looking at my roots wouldn't...
