    Terms Which Have Disappeared

My father didn't care for rice or noodles so nearly every meal contained some variation on potatoes (I could do a Forest Gump listing of potato dishes). After I left home and joined the Air Force I don't remember eating any type of potato other than fries for 2-3 years if given a choice.

    Brim up or Brim Down

I think binding on the edge gives it a better look when up or any sort of finished edge for that matter. It just displays better than a raw edge IMHO.

    Brim up or Brim Down

Zakefeller, I think "up" looks better on you. I agree that the cant of the brim depends on the function of the hat at the time (weather conditions, bright lights, etc). I think crown shape, brim size and pinch style all go into how "good" a hat looks brim up/down. As a general guide, I think...

My friends wore out "Zoiks!" and "Jinkies!" from Scooby Doo (in an ironic way, of course) when we were kids. Now I use the "You meddling kids!" with my co-workers.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I watched that quite some time ago and just got a sense of inevitability, that this film was only going to end one way. The "twist" with the wife at the very end wasn't unexpected either. I did enjoy the look of the film and I always like Neeson.

Ms. Maine, It occurs to me that you may have perceived my comment #3804 as a personal criticism. It was not intended to be; I can appreciate how difficult this position can be and how much time it must take to do effectively. And of course everyone seems to think that they know how to do...

    Terms Which Have Disappeared

Ludibrious Definition: apt to be a subject of jest or mockery Pronunciation: lu-DI-bri-us Origin: "Dating back to the 1570’s, this word originates in the Latin stem ludere, meaning to play. The Latin ludibrium referred to playful behavior or joking, but also mockery and derision," I know...
