First off, I'm in love with your scores! That must have been some estate sale! They don't come around like that every day!
The first one is 30s
second 70s
3rd could be anywhere from 20's to 60's cause the style didn't change much for oriental pjs and they were a really popular souvenir to...
Oooh! Actually, that's one I missed, but it's a great idea! For non vintage items, anyways lol Please, everyone, don't add tacky tape to vintage, especially fragile things. That would be sad.
Yes, you can. I know Threads ran articles on it a while back, and here's an online article that might help.

It's time intensive and I hate doing it, but sometimes it's worth it! In school we learned how to do it with a...
Continuing to sort through things! Please PM me if interested. Paypal only, Ships to the USA: USPS $3 for Media Mail, $8 for parcel post, or $10 for priority, and I can combine shipping and will let you know how much it costs if you like more than one :) International is around $20...
Agreed, ShoreRoadLady! It's quite fun to look glamourous and elegant, but many women did not or could not. It's kind of inspiring all on it's own, actually, to look through old snapshots at antique stores and on ebay and see what women of different stations of life wore. And just like today...
I'm trying to save for spending money for a trip this summer, so it's time to let go of some random things I've collected over the years! I'll be posting more in the next few days, but here's what went up today:
McCall's October 1951
McCall's January 1954
1950's Magazine Lot- Cosmo...
I was going back and forth whether it was ballet shoes or espadrilles! Thanks so much for your input! You wouldn't happen to know where to get ones like that now, would you? Without a heel? I've been looking off and on for a pair and haven't found any yet!
Ok, I just went back and re-read! Haha! :) Kudos to you for drafting off the top you had! I love the idea of making a band that ties! I've made crop tops that like to... travel north... so that would keep them in place. Great idea!
OH MY GOSH! That is SO cute! What pattern did you use?
Amy Jeanne, I love your green dress! I saw that pattern and was wondering how it made up. Looks lovely!
I had visions of wearing this on our trip this summer. :( I kept trying to outbid the high bidder and ran out of time. I even had a navy cloche that would have matched perfectly.
I've found some at estate sales before, or in vintage belt kits. Maybe do an ebay or etsy search? If you want to cheat you can use a strip of heavy twill, if your fabric is lighter, and hand sew along the back to close or use fusible interfacing. I've done both, but the fusible has a tenancy...
Indy Magnoli, I'm sure this was state before, but are the sweaters made to order? If so, I'll be saving for one, cause they'll pass as collegiate womens styles, too, even though they're not specifically made for women :)
