Leather jackets that accentuate/flatter/enhance shoulder size

Yeah I kind of excused it at the time but now I bring it up proactively because TFLers almost inevitably recommend ordering via Thurston. And honestly this Ridley is neither here nor there whereas the IR repro would fit in so well with my wardrobe, both menswear and workwear wise.
You deserve to find an original for that experience.

I am gonna vote against the Aero Indian Ranger here. I had two of these jackets. size 40 in black when my waistline was and inch smaller and now size 42 in white with bigger belly. Neither really worked for me. The black one may have the look but I am not walking around like that pose all day even if I wanted to, plus you gotta have super trim abs to pull it off, and even then the comfort is still shit.

If you insist sticking with Aero and wants the MrProper fit, Y shaped jackets are better. Cafe Racer or J106/Daytona, even with the forward collar they're still better than the Indian Ranger which not only has forward collar but also smaller collar width than CR and J106, not comfortable at all.

There are also a ton of other options out there now at the same price point.

Not familiar with Mr. Proper, and google was unhelpful.

Could you kindly briefly school me on the differences in Schott 618 and 613S in horse leather in terms of taper?

Taper is very similar. There’s like half an inch additional taper on the 613S/SH pattern compared to the standard 613/618 but that’s not noticeable in wear and probably just comes down to the different shape of the kidney panel. The standard pattern would win out for range of movement but that’s by no means bad on the S/SH. Buying today I might choose the 618HH among those jackets.

Just a quick update. I caved and ordered a 689H from Schott NYC. Just fell in love with that design. It's a little cardboardy right now, but it's definitely got that taper I am looking for!

Appreciate all the input, will be coming back to this post to research all the other recommendations.

Hello people, new here.
Just thought I would ask your opinions stemming from the all vast knowledge about jackets.
What are some jacket models and makes that do accentuate a V-shape body, in terms of the upper torso/shoulder region? I am talking about a taper and also the shaping of shoulder is made to look with fuller volume.
Cafe racers generally seem to be uniformly slim, so I am steering away from those.
The shorter the jackets, the better, 23.5"-25" length is optimal.
Thank you!
When it comes those that progress the shoulders, I find Taylors Jackets do just that.

Among the Schott classics (613, 613S, 118, 141, 641...) I own, the style is not really taperred with one exception : i have a vintage 615 (from the 80s ou 90s) size 38 that is very tappered, with wide shoulders and a very narrow waist, so much that it is almoste inconfortable to wear closed !
