I got the fabric in the garment district in LA. I wish there had been more, but I got the rest of the bolt for a dress for me and a shirt for my husband. I think it was only $4 a yard and is a rayon.
I finally finished a sewing project! This is from a Butterick pattern from 1938. I still want to make the jacket and sash- the sash from red silk crepe and the jacket probably an off white linen. :D

I'm making the last one right now and it's coming out lovely! I don't think I've really sewn much with Butterick and I'm very impressed. I especially like how they and Simplicity add extra seam allowances at the sides for taking them out...
