    Fed IV Question

Triple F: Kudos to you, I was hoping you'd come through! I just like looking at your great pictures :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap Without recalling from your previous postings, I was trying to guess which one has the center dent as you just posted the front shots. My guess is the tawny...

    What's your signature hat?

Barrowjh - the high pinch on that works really well. It's a great look and fits the hat. I can see why it is a favorite for you.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Mr. P: Positively Trumanesque! You wear that cattleman crease as well as anyone.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Count me in - that's a great look, and the tones of the cigar and glasses play into the equation as well!

Thanks! Good to hear. I don't know Carter personally but he was a frequent poster and I noticed his absence.

Ask a question, get an answer

I was away from the Lounge for the latter half of 2009 and have been wondering: Where's Carter? I hope all is well and there's no problems, but wondered if anyone knows.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

A red letter day all round - gtdean - I always wanted an Allesandrio, and that one looks to be in great shape. Scott Wood - That hat suits you as well as any I've seen on your noggin! Garrett - Inducing vintage envy with the top AND bottom edge of that old C&K! Mario - Diggin' the...

    I love the Fed IV!!

I think I've said to my wife, "I won't be buying any more hats - I don't need any more" at lease 3 times... and I'm sure you can all relate in some way.

    The Akubra Squatter

If it were a lower crown he couldn't pull it down as far on his head. I hadn't thought of that before you posted but it makes sense.

    Vintage Caps TUTORIAL

Marc, I take it you have focused your attention primarily on U.S. caps of the golden era. I think of the British variety "Ivy cap" a tweedy affair with really no panels to speak of. Is this thinking correct in what you've come across?

    Hats in modern life

Mario - classic 'do, as in hairdo! You may not remember but you posted a picture of Waits in the beginning of this thread and, indeed, there is a resemblance there. Also evocative of Eraserhead!

    Hats in modern life

I agree with Mario on two things. I wouldn't like someone grabbing my hat, but probably wouldn't mind so much given the scenario in the bar he described! I also think Tom Waits is one helluva fedora-wearer (note another example in my avatar.)

    Who else lines their fedoras...

Your post seems a bit trollish, but what the heck, I'll reply. I don't line mine with foil but I wondered if you had thought about lining yours with lead? Or maybe uranium 238? At some point it would stop the comments altogether. lol

gtdean, that might be the ticket - have you used one like this? If so did it do the job? The price is certainly right!
