Just watched The Cotton Club again last night. I had not seen it in several years and after reading another thread about George Raft I thought I would watch it again. It is a great movie with a lot of tallent and some great hats.

Hollywood lost another great actor today. James Arness: 1923 - 2011
He had just celebrated his 88th birthday last week. Happy Trails Marshal Dillon.

I agree with you about Colt. In talking with a Colt rep at the NRA show he mentioned that they were looking at bringing back the Detective Special again.

If you go to http://www.classiccinemaonline.com/ they have OTR programs on there as well. I saw a bunch of comedy shows on there as well as Dragnet, Gunsmoke, and other classics. I just listened to an episode of Dragent while I was reviewing reports at work.

"The Doorway To Hell." Made in 1930 staring James Cagney and Lew Ayres. Cagney's first Gangster picture. a lot of great hats. It appeares to me that hats from the 1920s and 1930's had tall crowns with a wide ribbon and short brims.

I just found this post and know that it is a couple years old. I agree that at least it is getting kids to wear something other than a ball cap, but I cringe every time I see them at Wal-Mart or Target. My wife always says that it is a hat that does not know what it wants to be. But there is a...
Wow, that is beautiful. It reminds me of his earlier work that was done between 1900-1910 called the Prairie Style. You did a great job on it. What are you using for a keyboard?
