How often did the average man get a haircut?

Not necessarily, a lot of it has to do with what branch you are in. There are several variations of the high and tight out there as well as the Regulation hair cut. Of course in Basic everyone gets the same induction cut. Kirk

Tv shows - Poirot , Campion , Foyles War

Yes, I am a fan too. I love the Poirot series and have heard a nasty rumor that they have quit filming, even though Suchet is one of the producers and has stated that he wants to do more. I have seen a few episodes of Foyles War on U-tube, have not been able to find them on PBS here in NC. I...

How often did the average man get a haircut?

Back when I had hair I used to get it cut every 10-14 days. The Barber who I used to go to before he passed away could do a flat top or a high reg cut freehand. And I always treated myself to a barbershop shave. The sad thing is that a lot of the "Old School" barbers are gone. After my barber...

George Raft - Forgotten Style Icon.

Casablanca was not the only one he turned down. He also turned down High Sierra (1941), The Maltese Falcon (1941), and Double Indemnity (1944). Do not know if he got bad advice or made bad decisions. Kirk H.

George Raft - Forgotten Style Icon.

I have always liked George Raft. He had a good career and some very interesting friends like Ben "Bugsy" Siegel. He started off with bit parts and worked his way up into playing both the good guys and villians in a lot of RKO pictures in the 1940's and 1950's. I loved him in "Nocturne" and as...
