I love your Santa! I have a weakness for vintage dimestore Christmas ornaments & Santas and I know I'm not the only FL'er that does. When I unpack my misfit Santa collection closer to the holidays, I'll have to post pictures. I love vintage, dimestore Santas and holiday decorations.
Feeling weak... everything getting dimmer... blacking out...
Quick everyone... give me your liquor... it's the only thing that can save me now...
Ack. *holds hand to forehead and falls down*
A friend of mine went to see Curry perform and took a copy of Paradise Garage for Tim to sign. He just about fell over when he saw the record and wanted to know where my friend found it. lol
Oh and besides Steve Buscemi, Anthony Head is another one of my big crushes.
I just had to share this one! I put in a new picture and it said that I look 74% like Stan Lee, 70% like Rita Hayworth, 62% like Peter Falk, 62% like Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Now there's an oddball collection!
Way at the bottom of the list, it said that I look 58% like Ozzy Osborne. lol lol...
Hmmm, I don't think I'm sold on this fancy contraption.
I can't get my profile to post either, but it said I looked 90% like Kate Winslet! Ha, that's a good one!
I think the problem is not with how we're posting the pictures, the problem is with the link the site provides, it doesn't seem...
I was going to post this in the "Show us your old books" thread, but I know how much you ladies love patterns and fashion scans, so I thought I would post it here instead.
This is a Modes Royal pattern book from 1955. The Modes Royal patterns all had high fashion details and tailoring to them...
I guess I'm lucky, people don't bother me as much. Part of it, I believe, is that I'm female and people tend not to mess with women as much. But, my husband tells me that I give off a very strong "don't mess with me" vibe. He laughs because when we go to the grocery store, people apologize...
Just to add - the clinique eyeliner stays on very well also. It survived last weekends 90 degree heat wave as I stood over hot coals/open fires taking an 18th century cooking class. If it can survive the sweaty mess that I was that day, it can survive anything.
My husband and I did the same costume a few years ago and it was a big hit! And it was simple to make - always a bonus. I was Kato and he was the Green Hornet.
I agree and I admire you for taking the high road and turning your cheek to them. I would have crumbled under the pressure and probably would have pointed and laughed at them and called them tools in response because I'm mean and cranky. lol
I use cream liner as well. It's more forgiving and much easier to put on than liquid eyeliner and you get similar results. A little more inexpensive, but just as good as the Smashbox version, is the Clinique cream liner. It comes in a little pot with a tiny little application brush so you...
And that's exactly why I will never buy a proprty governed by a Home Owner's Association.
They'd have a heart attack if they saw the big tiki heads, pink flamingos and various other art oddities in my yard! My yard is my own to do with it as I please. lol
Thank you for the compliments, Qwslvr and Mr Newport custom. I will pass them on to Gertie. :)
While Molly is a very serious cat, Gertie is a complete goof. Silly cats are a lot of fun to have around. We just got Gertie one of those nylon collapsable cat play cubes that they can crawl...
I think that is the only Richard S. Prather book that I have. Thanks for the interesting tidbit about him. That was always one of my favorite titles, "Way of the Wanton." I've never read the book though, it seems these books are getting increasingly more fragile so I tend not to read them so...
