I was going to post this in the "Show us your old books" thread, but I know how much you ladies love patterns and fashion scans, so I thought I would post it here instead.

This is a Modes Royal pattern book from 1955. The Modes Royal patterns all had high fashion details and tailoring to them that really make them stand out from the usual patterns of the day. What I wouldn't do for some of these patterns!

What a gorgeous book! I love seeing them, even if I don't have the patterns, to see the little design elements :)

These are superfantastic BeBopBaby! Can you imagine stepping out in some of those summer frocks in the first picture? I especially like the dress on the far right. Also, I want to be the lady in the green on the far right in the second picture, please--she's very Zaza Gabor. Love the sleeveless coat over the dress.

Your runner looks pretty too!

I love Modes Royale patterns...they always sell well for me. You could only get them by sending for them, so they can be hard to find. I have never found one in my size, but if I found the book....that would be really great!

Thanks for sharing with us and letting us drool!!
