    One of my favorites is Body and Soul with John Garfield. Garfield has to be one of the most under-rated actors of all time, virtually all but forgotten today. It's a shame his career was ruined from being black listed. And don't forget Kirk Douglas in Champion.

    Studio's pretty much use wigs when filming period pieces anymore. It's much quicker and easier to put wigs on 100 people's heads than it is to style 100 people's hair. Also, with how image-conscious actresses are, I doubt they cut their hair for roles much.

    This looks like a hand knit cowichan or Mary Maxim sweater to me. Look at the construction. If it was knit in one piece in the round with no seams then it may be a cowichan sweater. If it was knit in pieces and put together with seams then it may be a Mary Maxim sweater.

    My first vintage purchase

    Very nice! A word of advice, put some runners on top of your vanity or some sort of protective doily. Kitty claws do a number on wooden furniture tops. They don't mean to, but even when they just walk across the furniture their claws can leave little marks.

    I thought a "dark and stormy" was dark, spiced rum and ginger beer? In Bermuda, dark and stormy's with dark rum are like what a mojito is to Cuba, kind of like a national drink. Which reminds me, I'm running out of all the good rum that I bought when I was in Bermuda... :(
