i need to get back into it, but when i was doing OCM i loved it. i liked how i could start out with the basic formula and then adjust it slightly for my skin's needs.
people say this a lot on here. my opinion (as well as some others') differs. if you saw me 5 days out of 7, you would think i look like a total slob and have low self-esteem. but actually, i love myself, and for me personally, the fact that i wear jeans and flip flops or other comfy flat shoes...
ooooh these are really cool! any plans for them yet?
i scored a vintage asparagus crate in a free pile recently. i keep my laundry detergent and stuff in it :)
you're so right about this. she didn't have a basement, but after my grandma died i dug through her spare bedroom and came out with the most awesome furniture - in excellent shape because had just been stored for years. guess the novelty of tomato-red and turquoise nhagahyde wore off fast! ;)
they had very vintage ones like you describe available for about 2 seconds in 2000-ish. i saw them, didn't buy them, and then the next time i went to the same store they were gone! good to know they're going to make another appearance!
a variety of things - story, actors personal recommendation, director. i have to admit though, if it's not playing at the $3 pizza-and-beer theater, i'm probably waiting for the DVD!
ooh, shoe twins!! they sound even better in navy/white! is the multicolored part on the front made of something very similar to bias tape? do you have any idea how old they are???
my current favorite is a creamy tomato and red pepper soup from Pacific. it comes in a 32 oz. tetrapak (like soymilk) and you can buy it at trader joes. mmmmm! the corn chowder is good, too!
lovely, shearer!
and thanks for the compliment on the glasses. i'm actually really excited to get the prescription filled (and read in public, so i actually get seen in them. i'm so vain!). i'm taking them in on wednesday - there's a guy at my optometrist office who actually specializes in...
i bought these mid-century modern pieces this weekend at the thrift store i work at!
this table was about $10 with my discount. it needs a little cleaning up on top, but it in very good shape!
this chair was about $5. the lines of it are fabulous! i don't care too much for the upholstery...
ooh, more $10 club!
i bought two pairs of wedgies today. the first are Daniel Green, i'm guessing 1950s, but it's hard to tell because they made these styles for so long!
the second pair are canvas, most likely, really accurate repros from the 70s... does anyone know when things started...
joan of arcadia is another one filmed all around Long Beach, CA. my university and the coffeehouse i worked at were featured multiple times!
and in my current location, portland OR.... the other night i hung out at the cafe that is housed in what used to be the drugstore in drugstore cowboy...
