- learn to sew properly (my mom is getting me a sewing maching for my birthday! yay!!)
- Actually finish the projects I start (I don't think I'll be very successful in this resolution!)
- eat healthier (not really to loose weight, althoug that would be swell; I'm just tired of feeling...
Nothing yet. *sigh* It's been raining cats and dogs since yesterday afternoon...I think by late morning it will turn to freezing rain and then to snow, supposedly dropping 3-5", but I'll believe that when I see it!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snooooowwwww!!!!

When you think back on the lifestyle of the 30's-50's women compared with today, I'm willing to bet that had a lot to do with posture. Speaking for myself, I feel like poo at the end of the day - I work at least 10 hours and 95% of that is spent at my desk staring at a computer monitor. My eyes...
I wondered what you were talking about yesterday when you mentioned that to IlsaLund, but I never saw any pictures of him! Things that make you go hmm...
I'm hoping this is coming our way! It feels a bit odd being in the 60's and putting up Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas songs on the radio! I'm looking forward to some of the white stuff!
ETA: We now have a winter storm watch for tomorrow night into Friday...a possible 6"...
Alas, I chose a really dumb name over there kimmylynne82...*sigh*
I also bookmarked your forum and blog as I am just starting out sewing...blogs are such guilty pleasures...I don't know why! :)
Shortly after "You've Got Mail" came out, I wanted my hair cut similar to Meg Ryan's. I told the stylist that I realize my hair is a lot thicker than hers and will not lay the exact same way, but if she could do something similar that would be great. So she starts cutting....and cutting....and...
I was searching YouTube the other evening out of curiousity. I was amazed to see some of these posted! It's sad to me what a lot of the comments say, but I figured you gals might appreciate some of these (there are a ton more, but I can't go through and post them all now as I'm at the office.)...
Taking the time to dress appropriately for the occasion shows you really want to be there and care about yourself, but that doesn't mean we can't throw on a pair of jeans every once in a while too! My problem is that I have a business in a small town - if I leave the house looking like I just...
Jitterbugdoll, thank you so much for posting! I think I might pop over to the antique store this weekend and pick up a few hats...the brown one I mentioned earlier was only $15! When I was there last weekend, a lady was just setting up her booth and had boxes of hats - I didn't want to be rude...
OK, I am really slow! I have been trying to figure out where I "knew" you from, HumbleStumble....and it just hit me like a ton of bricks! CRAFTSTER!! :eusa_doh:
I am new to the world of hats...I'm of the opinion that I look absolutely ridiculous in hats, no matter what kind I try on. I'm sure others think differently, but I still feel silly in a hat. However (there's always one of those!), I have found quite a few adorable hats at one of our antique...
Being fairly young and having a very close relationship with my younger cousins (16 and 18), I honestly have to say I just don't think girls these days know what it means to be a lady. I mean, look through the media, and all we see is Britney and Paris flaunting themselves as party girls with...
GOK - those sound like fun gifts to make! I've always wanted to try, but have been intimidated! Are they relatively easy?
I'm making up some Chai Tea Mix and packaging it in little jars, and completing the gift with a measuring spoon and mug. I've not tried it yet, but the reviews are all...
