My mom and I used to make Monkey Bread all the time when I was a little girl :)
My other favorite treat to make that is super easy...O'Henry Bars (I'm sure they're called many other names, this is what our Home Economics classed learned to make in 7th grade)
Cornflakes
peanut butter...
Names are something I'm very worried about when it comes to having children. I'd hate to give my child a name that he/she is teased about for the rest of their lives! My absolute favorite name is Kate/Kaitlyn, but I'm afraid if I name my daughter in such a manner, she'd be called Katie, and with...
Peppermint Bark
2 lbs white chocolate (or white almond bark)
30 peppermint candy canes (I used 24 canes (red and green) and some pure peppermint extract; I think 30 peppermint sticks might be a bit much!)
Melt chocolate according to instructions on package (I used the almond bark and...
Anytime I'm at home ill or just feeling really blah I'll watch one of these movies:

Joe Vs. The Volcano
Sleepless in Seattle
You've Got Mail
When Harry Met Sally
Bridget Jones' Diary
Down With Love
That Thing You Do
The Princess Bride
The Wedding Singer
Never...

I've seen the classic Christmas animated shows (Santa Claus is Coming...
I think there are a lot of things in the US that aren't necessarily uncommon, but have negative feelings associated with them. A lot (not all, and I'm not trying to speak for any one in particular) of people only associate nudity and posing for portraits nude as a bad or distasteful thing (think...
Well, I for one am impressed that there are so many people willing to "grin and bare it" for a good cause. I certainly don't have the nerve (or the figure) to do it, and if there are people who do, more power to them. Don't like what you see, don't look at it - that's what I say!
Add me to the list of people who's birthday is close to Christmas (mine is Jan 1st) and get frustrated when people give gifts to cover both. It's getting better - mostly it's just one or two people who do it that I don't see very often. When I complained to my mom about it when I was about 10...
I think it has a lot to do with being PC these days; making everything so general to avoid offending someone. Most stores don't view Santa, Trees, and snowflakes to have a religious overtone, and stick with those. They are the ubiquitous signs of Christmas. I'm not saying it's right or wrong...
